Dunno if it still works on Platinum, but it's alive and well on D/P. It technically corrupts your primary save, but the game stores two copies (primary and back-up) just in case stuff like that happens. So if you successfully manage the glitch, you'll probably be treated to the "Primary .sav file corrupted, loading from back-up .sav" message on next start-up. But fear not, this is perfectly normal and does not ******** up your game in anyway.
@Rob: It's not worth it. It's so damn difficult to do, because you have to time it JUST RIGHT (like, exact seconds) or it doesn't work. There is absolutely no margin of error. It's way easier to just clone s**t in Emerald, then PalPark it over.

Though I -HAVE- heard that they fixed it when they released Platinum, so I'm pretty sure it won't work there.
But I'll have to try it sometime.

I tryed to do the glitch with my lv 80 ev trained agumon but i offered the trade for a lv 100 palkia and some crazy b*****d took the offer (now my favorat agumon is gone and I was going to evolve it into a charmeleon!!!!)

darkyologdog I tryed to do the glitch with my lv 80 ev trained agumon but i offered the trade for a lv 100 palkia and some crazy b*****d took the offer (now my favorat agumon is gone and I was going to evolve it into a charmeleon!!!!)
But I have no sympathy. I thought it was common sense that when you do something like this, you ask for a Pokémon/level combination that's impossible, like a Lugia under L.9. Just because you're trying to manipulate Nintendo's servers doesn't mean your Pokémon's immune to being traded away in the meantime. And L.100 Palkias are everywhere. :/
