I realize it is quite common place, and being a musician myself I am forced to ask everyone.
Does music play an integral part in your spiritual practices/being?
I know that, personally, nothing is able to more easily elevate my spiritual level (though not as thoroughly as say meditation, casting, and such).
The work of these vibrations is infinitely integral to my life.
So how about yourselves?

Music used to be my second favorite casting tool for the emotive influence it offered. Selecting songs to hum to myself at work allows me to adjust my motivation based on the tempos, though that's nothing too extraordinary. Certain songs (like Disposition by Tool) help me to slip into a very comfortable state for meditation.
My subconscious occasionally uses specific songs to get my attention. I'll be focusing on a task like showering, emotionally muddled, and a certain part of a certain song will get stuck in my head. 9 times out of 10, reflecting on the verse reveals personal truths that allow me to center myself again.
All that aside, lyrics provide a wonderful cognitive playground for me to get lost in ^_^

Music. Is. My. Life. ^^
I use music all the time in my practices, from humming a tune while I work, to listening to wordless music on my ipod during a meditation session. Outside of the more spiritual part of it, I just cannot live without music. A lot of times I cannot concentrate without humming something, and if I don't currently have a song stuck in my head, I will make one up just for the sake of having a tune to run through my mind over and over again. ^^ I feel bad for my classmates who have to sit close enough to me to hear when I start humming away during a test.....^^
