Rules :
1. Obey the Gaia rules, and keep it reasonable. No smecks in here. I'll kill ya. Take it elsewhere. 2. Another obvious. No God-Moding. (Hereafter referred to as GM) Nobody likes a Godly fighter. Hence, No GM. For a definition, see the fourth post. 3. Literacy. Try to use full words to the best of your abilities. That means no 'u, r, and y' in place of words. It's just tacky. 4. This isn't much of a rule. More of an informative thought. Some of our characters have the unique ability to broadcast our thoughts (use telepathy) if we wish. When doing that, use brackets :
For regular speech, please use quotes.
Regular speech "Hey!" Demetri said, waving to Nunia. And for straight up thoughts, use italics.
Thoughts Where is she? she thought to herself. Actions, you may use whatever you wish.
Actions *He grabs his blade and prepares to attack* -Ditto- Demetri attacks, throwing a midsection strike. 5. Please read up or PM someone online for an update if you missed alot. Just bouncing in and saying :
Someone that didn't read the rules OMFG What happened while I was gone? is not acceptable.
6.Please do NOT use OCC information ICC. You may know information that your character may not necessarily know. This is a form of GM, and will not be tolerated.
7. Do not post advertisements, bumps, or any other spam in any rpg threads. It's rude.
[Possibly to be further edited. Keep an eye out.]

Reasons for BANNING*:
1) Breaking any of Gaia's rules.
2) God Moding as defined by rules 1 and 6.
3)Breaking any of our other rules we have set forth.**
4)Posting advertisements, bumps, or spamming. Save that for the Chatterbox, or our little personal spam can. (Siggy not included.)
*The offender will recieve 2 warnings before being banned, unless the Captain and the Crew decide otherwise. If it is a Gaian rule that has been broken, then it will be reported, and you may be banned from Gaia altogether.
**Our rules are subject to change.
We all think that these rules are fair and easy to follow. If you feel that there is a problem with any of them, please feel free to contact any one of us thru a private message.

God-Modding Defined
God-moding is controlling another player's character (including NPCs created by another player) without their permission, refusing to take damage or lose at all, and making your character overpowered (overpowered in the sense that your character by itself could beat an army without breaking a sweat).
Also known and associated with 'autohitting.'

A Furthering of Rule #5
-It would be greatly appreciated if all the members who are posting in a thread for the first time to at least skim the contents of it before posting.
-If the thread is rather large (I, personally, would say that 15 pages or more is a large thread) at least see if there is important background information in the very first post. Or, read what has happened on the last three pages.
-Just popping in and posting something to insert your character into the storyline will most likely not blend into the story in progress, and the one who has made the thread or the mods might be forced to delete a post like that. At the very least, they have the right to request that post be edited to fit the story.
sweatdrop A little continuity is not too much to ask for, is it? sweatdrop
