So, seeing as how I am going to a show this friday night (Shadows Fall, Devil Driver heart and Lamb of God) I thought we could just lament about shows we loved, who we have seen live, and what shows were good/horrid.
So, from last year (I cannot be bothered writing ever since I saw live shows) I saw: Big Day Out - Rage Against the Machine Grinspoon Hilltop Hoods Sarah Blasko Faker Something with Numbers
Soundwave - The Offspring Incubus Killswitch Engage Coheed and Cambria As I Lay Dying Shadows Fall Carpathian Motion City Soundtrack Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Chiodos Saosin Scary Kids Scaring Kids Boys Like Girls Mindless Self Indulgencelt All Time Low My American Heart Madina Lake
Disturbed
Rollercoaster - Sneaky Sound System(only went for them really)
2009 Soundwave - Nine Inch Nails Alice In Chains Bloodhound Gang Scars On Broadway Lamb Of God Alkaline Trio Billy Talent The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus In Flames Anberlin Every Time I Die Devildriver heart Poison The Well Madina Lake New Found Glory From First To Last Chiodos Saves The Day Lacuna Coil 36 Crazyfists Evergreen ******** loved that gig)
The Butterfly Effect
This friday's gig. And I have a Soundwave 2010 ticket *yay*

I like my live music, it just...is so different then rocking out to my ipood or their cd. Adds electricity to it...imo
Ohhh, I like some Smashing Pumpkins stuff, they hit aus last year, I was tempted to go, but I had already taken time off work so I missed it.

I say live music can kinda make or break a band. Like I go to local shows where I live at and this band preformed one time. They sounded boss live but on their cd they sounded like shite apparently.
I love live music! I've seen: Mindless Self Indulgence The Birthday Massacre Julien-K and this other random band.
Then I've seen local bands, they sound pretty good live. :3

Awesome. And I agree, some bands can sound horrid on a cd, like Shadows Fall, but live...they were killer!
Ohhh I've wanted to see The Birthday Massacre...were they killer?

Holy s**t, I thought I was the only Devildriver fan.
Tool (One of the greatest experiences of my life, truly something to behold) System of a Down (I was at the concert where they filmed the Hypnotize video, you can see me in the crowd twice in the video) Blue October Smashing Pumpkins I like going to see local bands a lot
sadly lately I haven't had the time/money to go see many concerts. crying
