Femi was tired, so tired. The newest additions to her family were more than a handful, but she didn't mind, and she certainly didn't complain. She adored the babies, and was so proud. Even if sometimes they got into things they shouldn't. Okay, make that a lot of the time.
Smiling her ever patient smile, Femi scooped up one of the babies, little Lule, and set her on the bathroom counter. She reached out to hold her still with one hand and reached for a face cloth with the other. This time they'd gotten into the candies she had placed on the coffee table for Christmas. In fact, they were pretty much all gone, or ruined. She'd have to buy more, and she'd have to set them someplace higher.
Sighing a little bit, she gently scrubbed the chocolate and goo off squirmy Lule's face, shaking her head. "We have to get you all cleaned up, little baby~ We're going to see Daddy today." Looking down at Gideon at her feet, she rose an eyebrow at him. "You're next, you know!"

Gideon turned and grinned up at her, mid way through smearing a chocolate coated hand down her otherwise pristine wall.
"Daddy?" he squealed. In all honesty he was certain of the fact that mommy was better, but daddy was still always an exiting prospect. He squealed again and pressed his other hand to the wall. It was wonderful how the chocolate smeared as he moved his hands, making all those delightful squiggles.
He paused for a moment, clearly in deep thought, then leaned forward to try and lick it off the wall.

She just caught him. "Oh! Don't do that, Gideon!" Finished with Lule, she quickly set her on the floor and scooped up the boy, giving him a scolding look. "You're making a mess on Mommy's walls, and Mommy doesn't like that!" Plopping him on his bum on the counter, she kept one arm looped around his waist, and turned on the water to rinse the cloth out. It was already filthy after washing Lule, and she was sure Gideon would be even more messy. "Now sit still, okay?"
As the cloth rinsed, she turned her attention to Lule. "And you, you stay right by Mommy, okay? Mommy will put some pretty barrettes in your hair if you do!" Ahh, little girls were so much easier to reign in than boys. Femi reached up to wipe her hair from her face, wiping the chocolate on her wrist over her cheek as she did. Not noticing, she set about the task of cleaning up Gideon, who unfortunately, was more squirmy than Lule.
Lule wobbled to her feet, grabbing a hold of Femi's leg to peer up at her brother, little golden eyes wide. Watching him getting scrubbed clean, she giggled at him and pointed. "Giddy!"

Gable double checked his things making sure he had grabbed the kids Christmas presents all the while smiling fondly to himself as he thought of his family. He straightened his collar and knocked on Femi's door.

Gideon scrunched his face as Femi wiped him clean. Why did she have to go and do that? The chocolate tasted so much better then soap! He stuck out his tongue, alternating between babbling and screeching nonsense the whole while.
The only thing that kept him from trying to escape outright was the knowledge that they hadn't eaten all of the chocolate out of the little dish. There where still a few sweets left and as soon as this was done he intended to have them.

Femi sighed a bit, scrubbing at him some more. Oh, he'd gotten chocolate in his hair... That'd take forever to get out. "Gideon, you're such a bad boy," she said, brows furrowing together as she worked to get him clean. He'd really gotten into that chocolate!
Intent on cleaning up her son, it took a few knocks on the door before Femi realized, and only then because Lule let out a surprised shriek, and started to crawl for the door. "Oh! No, Lule!" She hadn't managed to clean off Gideon fully yet, and there was still chocolate on her face, but she had no choice but to scurry after the baby and go answer the door.
Racing after her daughter, Femi scooped her up and struggling to hold them both in her arms, went to answer the door.

Gable overheard the commotion inside and worried a bit for Femi's sanity with the two new little ones. He gave her his best smile when she answered the door.
I'd ask how you're doing but I think I can guess... He stated seeing the chocolate covered Gideon. Here, let me help. Gable stepped inside setting his things on the floor next to the door and relieving some of Femi's burden by taking Lule.

She brightened up when she saw Gable, and after just a second's hesitation, leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Come in!" she said cheerily, moving out of the door frame so he could. "I'm sorry its messy... And that the babies are messy... But they're just so full of mischief!" Clearly she still hadn't realized that her own cheek was messy too.
Moving into the house, she gestured for Gable to sit down. "I'll be right back, I need to finish cleaning this boy up," she murmured, giving Gable a sheepish smile before she headed back into the bathroom.
Lule's eyes widened as her father plucked her from her mother's arms. "Oh!" she exclaimed, looking around. Daddy was much taller than Mommy, and she could see everything! Giggling, she threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tight, cooing silly baby noises at him.

Gable smiled fondly at Femi and took a seat holding the ever eager Lule in his lap. Hey there sweetie... He cooed back to her and rubbed his nose against hers. Have you been being going for mum?

Gideon squealed then held his breath until his face turned red, then gasped, then screamed one of the few words he'd mastered, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
He didn't want a bath! He wanted to go see daddy! Why did Lu get to go see daddy and he was stuck going back to the stinking bath? It wasn't fair!

Femi's ears flattened as she carried him into the bathroom. "Gideon! You mustn't scream like that!" she chided as she set him back on the counter. "You'll get to see Daddy as soon as you won't get chocolate on his nice coat." Sighing a bit, she rinsed the cloth out again. "Mommy and Daddy won't like it if you do that!"
She continued to peer up at him with her wide baby eyes. Good? She as always good! Gideon was the bad one!
Nodding solemnly, she snuggled up against Daddy, still cooing at him. He was nice and soft and warm!

Gable flinched at the screaming from Gideon and then gave Lule a sweet smile. "Hey sweetie I gotta go help your mum with Gideon....can you stay here and be good for daddy?" He asked giving her a kiss on the forehead.

Lule's eyes widened at the howling coming from her brother. Ooooh, Gideon was being baaaaad! Looking up at Gable, she gave a small nod. She was always good!
"O-k!"
Femi sighed. "Oh, Gideon. You're being naughty," she murmured as she continued cleaning him. "I'll put you in a time out if you don't stop yelling!"

He wouldn't be going to the corner! The corner was terrible, and terribly boring. Besides, he wanted to see dad! He closed his mouth and puffed up his cheeks and screeched, his face turning blue by the end of it.
