I managed to get 144 gingerbread men last night, between the down times...

As far as I know, the caroling never even started, so maybe they aren't going to have it this year? I dunno. They did mention it in the announcement that was out for about ten minutes yesterday afternoon, but then that announcement disappeared and they had a lot of problems with the donation inventory thing, so... Who knows what will happen now?

oh ok cool. guess they figured it was too early yet or the ammount of people that headed to towns created some type of crash.

Do they have caroling in towns this year? They usually have the snowball fights and skating in towns and the caroling in the shops. I always go to the shops for caroling and trick or treating. it is easier for me that way.

i started to do it in the towns and after i got 8 items 2 of them being the same i moved to the shops took forever to get the last item sweatdrop a sprited 2k9 scarf

I hope I will not have so much difficulty. Then again, i do want to get at least three of each item, so... We'll see how things go, I guess.

Yes. That is correct. You must gain 250 Gingerbread Men in order to get the Garbage Wings. Or you could buy a set off the MP, but I believe they are a bit expensive.

I am merrily dumping my junk items. I have given over 100 things to earn the same amount of gingerbread men. I am not sure I want to donate 5000 gold. Is it worth the prize?

Which is faster, caroling in towns or shops?

The prize for donating gold is the doll... The first thing listed up there. Some people think it is worth it, but others thought it was better to just buy one out of the MP because they are less than 5K there.

I find that the shops are quicker for getting the prizes when I carol or trick or treat, but other people swear that towns is faster. Part of my issue is that Towns doesn't always load for me, and shops almost always load...

the shops did seem a little faster i ended up on getting 4 sets of items and gave one away. If you have a few tabs open the one time you can switch back and forth respond to messages and then click the next shop repeat.

In shops, if you are clicking every minute (or up to 5 seconds or so after the minute), you can get a complete set of items in just over 2 hours. I do not know how long it takes in Towns because I only go to towns to get bugs, trash and flowers.

Plus, I heard that in towns they don't grant the items in order, and you may get five or six of some items before you get one complete set. sad So, I would have to say that shops is faster, since I have gotten the items in the same order every time, no matter which account I was using. biggrin
