yesterday, i thought the victorian-influenced manga and stuff was cool, then the "airship" (the bathtub-box-thing)... but thought it was just me looking too deep into things...
now, crescento has full on crashed his airship into oversentinels one... and the "theme" along the top of the screen screams steampunk! im mean come on! look at crescentos awesome airship!!!
and seeing as oversentinels is obviously gonna be better... imagine how awesome this is gonna look!
discuss: -Xmas Event -How it seems gaia is trying to add a little steam into everything now -How awesome Crescento's airship is -Etc

Not just gaia; lots of games, designers, and others are doing things that we might describe as "Steam". It's probably casue the things that make the look appealing to us are a little more universal then some other lifestyles.
As for yule, I like the holidays in general, as well as winter itself, but I do feel that Christmas gets a lot of extra attention and fanfare that the other holidays don't. It may just me more marketable (with decorations that were originaly Celtic no less), but even among non-religious people, it's thought of as the biggest, most joyous time of year.
And to start the next post off, have you ever noticed how even a lousy singer with no skill can sing about Christmas once, and they'll play the song every year on almost every radio station and at every workplace and store for the whole two months leading up to the big day?

Indeed! Cheers to Gaia, for yet another beautiful event. Also, the Snow Apple would have to be my favourite RIG of all. The items are so beautiful... And the items we are gifted for caroling in the shops! Absolutely gorgeous. I'm spending as much time on Gaia this season as I can muster. :]
Also, I'm so glad this event is a junk item sink. My inventory has been cleaned out marvelously.

Hear hear, I gave over 60 items with little or no Marketplace value, thus tidying my inventory quite nicely. And they finally used a different color that isn't red or white or candy stripe for the Xmas caroling items, so kudos to them.
