****IMPORTANT****

If you apply by PM, and are accepted, remember to apply to the guild, or I might forget to invite you.

When you submit your application, please be sure to SPELL CHECK and GRAMMAR CHECK IT.

Rules:

1. No God-Moding. Absolutely none. This means no auto-hitting, auto-killing, auto-dodge, that sort of thing.

2. Use proper grammar and spelling at all times. If you can't maintain an acceptable level of literacy, you don't have the intelligence to be a Turk.

3a. Sure, you can develop relationships, but don't even think about trying to make out in the broom closet at break time. I'll be watching. Shounen-ai and shoujo-ai are permitted.

3b. Don't hit on Rufus unless you REALLY know what you're doing.

4. Read these rules. If you've read them, then when you submit your application, put "Re: Turks" at the top or as your subject if you use a PM.

5. It's not required that you like your co-workers, but as a general rule, things run more smoothly if you're not backstabbing each other.

6. Do as I say. I don't ask for unreasonable things, and most of the things I say are said with good reason. If you don't like the way I run my company, you can get the hell out. Also, listen to your superior officers, as often their orders will come directly from me.

7. Don't argue with your pink slip. Yes, you can be fired. If you are not doing your duties and generally being a competent Turk, you can be fired.

8. Wages. Yes, you're technically an employee, but look at it this way: the more active you are, the more you post. The more you post, the more you make money. Simple as that. Exceptional Turks can get bonuses. Not necessarily in the form of money, mind you, but there will be benefits.

9. Participate in missions and events as much as possible. These will ensure that you are active, and that I KNOW you've been active.

10. IMPORTANT: I will NOT be accepting people applying as relatives of characters in the game. Yes, I know Vincent used to be a Turk. I don't care. No, you can't be his cousin's friend's aunt's son.

Application Form

When filling out this form, it's probably best for you to use as much of your actual personality as possible. It's difficult to stay in character if you're roleplaying someone who has very different attributes than you do.

Fill out the following and either: a) submit an application via the guild homepage or b) PM me. Make sure you've read the rules.

Note: I will be very critical of anyone who is applying for Reno, Tseng, Elena, Tifa, Cloud, Barrett, Red, Yuffie, etc. Make sure you know what you're talking about.

In the roleplaying sample section of your application please respond to the following post.

You find yourself in unfamiliar territory -- the unfortunate result of your helicopter and its passengers being blown to pieces by a rocket of unknown origin. You are the lone survivor, having been lucky enough to violently fling yourself out of the vehicle before it exploded. You're fairly certain that you're alone, since the smoking remnants of the helicopter and its inhabitants are sprawled in a twisted mess in front of you.

The terrain is spacious enough, but rather barren: a gently rolling hill of dead grasses and miscellaneous weeds, raw earth poking through quite often, and smoothed bits of rock sprouting up instead of trees. They are quite tall and oddly shapen, suggesting that in times long past, they had been erroded by a vast amount of water. In the distance -- likely a half-day's walk -- is a ring of mountains.

Although you cannot ascertain where the rocket came from, you are fairly certain that your attackers will be on their way to inspect the wreckage. You are only lightly injured. Your standard-issue handgun and cell phone are still operational, although it's not likely that you'll get a satellite signal around here.

What do you do?

SN:
Turk or SOLDIER:
Character name:
Character Birthdate: (Include the year, so we can tell how old you are. The "present" in this roleplay still counts as the current year, so if it's 2006, and your character is 20 years old, he or she would be born in 1986.)
Physical description:
Personality:
History:
Goals:
Weapon of choice: (Please don't pick anything strange or totally made up. It needs to be something Turks would actually have access to. Such as guns, swords, crossbows, and the like.)
Strengths: (Such as problem solving, puzzles, accuracy, observation, memory, etc. Please don't go overboard.)
Roleplaying sample:

Rufus' example roleplaying sample:

Quote:

He lay absolutely still for a long while, his body still trying to determine if he was alive or not, and whether there were any threats nearby. His face stung, and he could feel the blood dripping down his cheek, making a lazy line toward his jaw. The entirety of his body ached, and he remembered now that he had had quite a fall... the rocket that had spiraled toward -- seemingly out of the blue -- with deadly accuracy, and the explosion afterward.

The world swam when he finally stirred, the rolling hills tilting and tumbling to look more like a strange Picasso painting, but his body responded well enough. Luckily, it seemed as if the young President of Shin-Ra Corp. had been wearing enough layers to slightly pad his fall. Straightening and taking a breath to steady himself, he slowly turned to regard the wreckage of the helicopter.

It was quite plain to see that no one inside would have survived -- the transport lay twisted and mangled, burning and charred, obviously ripped apart by the force of the impact and subseqent explosion. Retrieving the radio was out of the question, since it was likely the plastic communications device had long since warped and melted.

((I'll continue this when I get home. Someone, remind me. Send me a PM, or something.))
