Please note: Missions are disabled at the moment.

The guild is focusing on roleplaying, but as soon as the missions are available, everyone will be notified.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Missions will either be posted here, or will be given to you by myself or an upper-level Turk.
IMPORTANT
Completing missions will earn you experience. This experience goes toward increasing your level as a Turk. The harder the mission, the more experience it is worth.
Level 1 missions are worth 50 experience.
Level 2 missions are worth 100 experience.
Level 3 missions are worth 150 experience.
Level 4 missions are worth 200 experience.
Level 5 missions are worth 300 experience.
Level 6 missions are worth 400 experience.
Level 7 missions are worth 550 experience.
Level 8 missions are worth 700 experience.
Level 9 missions are worth 850 experience.
Level 10 missions are worth 1000 experience.
Experience needed to get to the next level increases by 1000 per level. Basically, if you're level 0 (where you start when you become a Turk), you need to collect 1000 experience to become a level 1 Turk. To become a level 2 Turk, you need to collect 2000 additional experience points (giving you 3000 collected in total, including the 1000 from level 1). Likewise, with level 3, you will need to collect another 3000 experience points, giving you 6000 in total.
With higher levels as a Turk, you gain authoritative power over the lower-ranked Turks.
At level 3, you will become a Group Leader and be given five Turks or trainees to watch over and command.
At level 5, you will become a Squadron Leader, and preside over three Group Leaders (and their underlings).
At level 7, you become a General, and will have three Squadron Leaders under your control.
Finally, at level 10, you will become Rufus' personal bodyguard, and enjoy complete control over all other levels of Turks.
Having control over other Turks means that you are responsible for their well-being, attendance, completion of missions, and screw ups. They will report to you and only you (with the obvious exception of Rufus). You will be in charge of passing missions on to them, and will also be eligible to participate in group missions, briefings, wars, and the like. This is great for people who enjoy having a sense of power.
Basically, be active, and the rewards will be worth it.
ALSO. (Just needed to catch your attention if you were drifting.)
Be sure to keep track of the missions of each difficulty you have completed, as well as the experience points you have earned. You should put this information, along with your corresponding Turk level/rank (which you will have to apply for once you have earned the required amount of experience) and total experience into your signature. Think of it as wearing an ID card on your shirt.
For your reference:
Level 1: 1000 EXP (1000 in total)
Level 2: 2000 EXP (3000 in total)
Level 3: 3000 EXP (6000 in total)
Level 4: 4000 EXP (10000 in total)
Level 5: 5000 EXP (15000 in total)
Level 6: 6000 EXP (21000 in total)
Level 7: 7000 EXP (28000 in total)
Level 8: 8000 EXP (36000 in total)
Level 9: 9000 EXP (45000 in total)
Level 10: 10000 EXP (55000 in total)
When you think you have the required experience, PM Rufus to get approval for your new level.
NEW! (as of April 23, 2006, at least)
I am implementing a money system here at Shin-Ra Corp., so that you hard-working Turks out there can afford to buy yourselves new things, such as Materia and Weapon upgrades! There will be a store set up shortly where you can purchase your new items, a bank where we will keep track of your funds, and a thread to explain the Materia system.
Look for these in the near future!
As for those of you who have already completed missions, you will be paid retroactively (meaning you'll get money for the ones you've already done), so don't worry about it.
How much money you get from each mission will be indicated under the "reward" heading.
Mission 1, Part 1: Get a Job, You Lazy Bum
Difficulty/Experience: 1/50 EXP
Objective: Get employed as a Turk
Save up enough money to get yourself business-like attire. White is my color, don't use it.
Business-like attire would include things like dress shirts, dresses, nice shoes, proper leggings, etc. Bunny ears, duck hats, thongs, etc. are not professional attire.
You do not have to go so far as to get yourself a Romani suit. Yet. If you DO have a full Romani suit, please see Mission 6 further down on this page.
To complete: Dress in what you think would count as "professional" or "business" attire, and put a post in Rufus' Office asking for confirmation of completion of Mission 1: Part 1.
Reward: 100 gil.
Mission 1, Part 2: Get on Rufus' Good Side
Difficulty/Experience: 1/50 EXP
Objective: Get Rufus to approve of your employment.
We all know the best way to get on the Vice President's good side is to prove that you're competent. How? Simple: Write a good resume.
To complete: PM Rufus your resume. Be sure to include any past experience or missions you've had, things you're good at, and any education you've had. If you get your resume back with his signature on it, you're good to go.
**Note: Don't write this as yourself. Write it as your character. Also, this is not the same as your application. This should be more of an "I'm a benefit to have around because..." type of thing.
Mission 1, Part 3: Make Yourself Useful
Difficulty/Experience: 1/50 EXP
Objective: To make yourself useful, obviously.
Requirements: None.
Do at least one of the following:
a) Make up a new mission. Missions must be able to be completed WITHOUT extensive roleplaying or the spending of money over the amount of 200 gold. Those are saved for events. The missions listed here already are good examples.
b) Recruit one other person. Make sure that when this person applies, he or she puts "Referred by: [your name here]" in their application.
c) If you feel particularly competent, volunteer for something. List the types of things you think you'd be good at, and Rufus will find you a suitable position.
To complete: If you chose b), leave a note on Rufus' desk (in the "Rufus' Office" thread) with the name of the person you referred. If they apply and say that you referred them and are accepted, you will get a PM with a signature of approval.
If you chose a) or c), PM Rufus with your submission. If you get a PM back with an approval, you pass the mission.
Mission 2: First Mission as a Turk
Difficulty/Experience: 2/100 EXP
Requirements: Complete mission 1.
Objective: Successfully complete this mission to prove your competency as a member of the Turks.
Take the word "Phenomenon." Using only the letters in that word, form 22 other words of at least three letters and at least one five-letter word. You can not use a letter more than once in the word unless there is more than one of that letter present in "Phenomenon." Meaning, if you wanted to spell a word with two "m's", it would not be possible since there is only one "m" in "Phenomenon."
Please note that if a word you have submitted is NOT in the dictionary, it will not be accepted.
**"Nope," "homo," "emo," and "poo" will not be accepted as words.
To complete: PM Rufus your list of words. If you get an approval, you pass this mission.
Reward: 100 gil.
Do NOT discuss the answers with other Turks, as if I find out, it will result in strict punishment.
Mission 7: The Condor's Egg
Difficulty/Experience: 6/400 EXP
Requirements: None.
Limitations: PUT ON HOLD for the time being.
Objective: Retrieve the condor's egg from Fort Condor for scientific study.
This mission will demonstrate your ability to follow orders, work collaboratively in groups, and successfully operate when the success of a mission relies on everyone involved.
Quote:
Flicking a strand of strawberry blond hair out of his face, he turned his attention to the group of people in the lobby. Straightening his posture, and clearing his throat to indicate that he wished to speak, he decided it was time to get down to business.
"Welcome to the Shin-Ra Electric Power Company, for those of you who are new. For those of you who have already become full Turks, congratulations."
"Regardless of your position, I still expect the best performance from you, regardless of how long you have been here. That is what makes Turks elite: the unwavering ability to outperform in all aspects of your job."
He paused for a moment, and looked around the room, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"And I now have your first mission for you. Yes, it seems small, but it is no less important that it is completed than any other mission you will do, for failing any mission means you have failed me; that you have failed as a Turk altogether."
"Your mission is thus: three teams of two people -- and ONLY three teams of two people -- will head to Fort Condor and retrieve the condor's egg. It is needed for scientific research, so if it is broken or damaged, you will have failed your mission."
"I do have a suggested course of action, since it is your first mission, so listen carefully. The people of Fort Condor want to protect this condor and her egg, so one group should focus on keeping the people distracted. If things become violent, this group, A, will be responsible for keeping the people away from the other groups, B and C, who will be retrieving the egg. Of course, this means that group B will have to fight the condor, while group C moves the egg."
"Since the egg is too heavy to carry, even between three or four people, I have given you a helicopter equiped with a padded bucket in which to carry the egg. This means that one additional person will need to pilot the helicopter, so that all group C must do is roll the egg into the bucket."
"Once the egg is in the bucket, the pilot will return home immediately. However, by that point, another helicopter will have been sent to pick you up. It will park outside Fort Condor for no longer than five minutes, so if you're not back in it by then, you're walking home."
"If you feel you understand this mission and accept it, find someone you wish to partner with for this assignment. Once three groups of two people, and one additional person to pilot the helicopter have registered, I will allow the mission to commence."
"If you have any questions, ask them now."
To complete: Participate in the mission as one of the seven people, and once the mission is successfully completed, you will automatically have passed.
Reward: 400 gil.
