I'm looking for a butternut squash and/or any type of winter squash soup recipe. Something along the lines of savory, slightly sweet...something along the lines of a comfort winter season soup. Any recipes?

I have a great recipe but it is long one. Cut and prep the squash into cubes. Next, and I know this seems weird but it comes out great, bake the squash with maple and brown sugar. When soft put squash into some chicken stock and cook until even softer. Cook until you get the consistency you want and you are done. This will take a long time to cook but flavor is great. Sorry I can not give you measurements, I have been making this in restaurants for years and trying to take a recipe for 80 and make it for 5 it really does not work. Experiment and you will find a great ratio.

At what temperature should I bake these cubes? Also, are you saying maple sugar and brown sugar or maple syrup and brown sugar?

Bake at around 350-400. Use maple syrup and brown sugar. Sorry about that I suck at writing down recipes they are all in my head. After years of making them it is just second nature for me.
