"Watch your flank." A pointy eared man says to another pointed ear man who had four pointed ear men around him.
The man quickly moved his head from side to side. Trying to keep the two men in front of him in view. Four on one was very hard odds, but he would never find out if he could have won.
"Master." Another pointed ear man said running up. "His lord would like to see you."
"Okay." The pointed ear man said. "That is enough you five. Go think about today and what you have, or should have, learned."
He then turned and left.

"Kethro!" An pointy eared man said.
"Yes farther." Another, younger pointed ear man said.
"I have spoken to the Lord. He requests that you go to the Gnome home lands. They are having problems. Rumors of a dragon."
This caught Kethro's ear. His family had been Dragon Keepers for ages. The job of a Dragon Keeper changed from dragon to dragon.
"What am I to do to this Dragon?" Kethro asked. If he was to kill it, it would bring honor to his family, maybe even himself. However if he was to tame it it would turn him into a man. His right to passage.
"This is your choice. As you are aware of. If you tame him you become a man, but sometimes taming the beast isn't always the best way. Your death could come from that, and you would die not a man. Killing him and becoming a man another day is nothing to be ashamed of. I am not telling you what to do, just to keep an open mind. If taming it is possible do so, but not in return of your own life."
"I understand farther." He had heard it before, in stories. He never wanted to die, his first dragon. No stories would be told about him, only his death. No name, just an event. "When do I leave?"
"Now. Go to the Huonnia family and get yourself a horse. You must get there as soon as you can my son."
"I wont fail our family." Kethro said. He then turned and headed off.
"I know you wont son." His father said after he had left.

Kethro walked over to the Huonnia family.
"Hello I am from the Ael'Kaon family. I have been ordered by our Lord to go to the Home of the Gnomes. I am here to request a horse." Kethro said.
Without even asking for more information one of the family grabbed a force and walked it over to the Pointed ear man.
"His name is Ilean." The girl said. Ilean meaning Mist Rider. He then noticed the girl. She had gone to school with him. If he remembered correctly, and with his memory he doubted he didn't, she had a crush on him back then. He wondered if the horse had been breed for him, but doubted that.
"Take care of him." She said.
"I'll do so." Kethro answered her.
"I wasn't talking to you." She said with a smile.
The Horse then nodded. She had been speaking to the horse. Maybe she did still have a crush on him, but could she have really breed the horse for him?
"Thank you." Kethro said. He then got onto the horse. He looked at her and then rode off. He had gone about two hundred feet from town, is a slow gallop when he heard the thunder of another horse. He turned his head to see the girl from school running right at him. He stopped as she stopped next to him.
"Ananis-Naiaro." Kethro said to her. "What is the matter?"
She then kissed him. "Please come back safely."
He knew then she had always kept the crush.
"I'll come back to you." He told her.
Her face turned red. He smiled then his face went back to normal and her turned for the road and the horse took off. He had a job to do.

Kethro was close now. He knew it. Any moment a Gnome would pop out ahead. He kept his eyes open and waited for a sign to stop.

Daer sat at her desk trying to think of things that could help against this fiend of a dragon that has been giving their town issues. she came up with this weird gauntlet, but it would take way too much time to create and tweak. So that was out the window until a later time perhaps. She did know that her town held a meeting and that they were to ask the Elves for assistance.

Off in the distance, a watch gnome spotted a fast moving large object. Although lots of things are large to a gnome, this was not the menacing type of large. As it got closer he noticed it was an elf. The watch gnome tried to make himself look larger, and when the elf got into range, it should "Halt! Who goes there?"

The Gnome didn't get into view until almost the last minute. Kethro pulled back on the horse and the horse came to a sliding stop.
"Gnome." Kethro said. "I am Kethro, from the Ael'Kaon family. I am from the Elven home lands. I am here to see the Lord of the Gnome home lands, your lord, about a dragon that is bothering him. I am here to remove this problem. So if you could bring me to him, I would be grateful. Time is very important."

The gnome blinked a couple of times, as he waived the dust gusting into his face. "Well then, let's get to it. Wanna give me a lift there buddy, it'd be quicker." He held up his hand toward the Elf, Kethro.

He then got next to the Gnome and put his hand out.
