Wish I had read this thread last week. Bought a jellyfish at the marketplace and it died the very next day. I did report it, but no response yet. Is this a scam or a glitch?
Not a scam - just a long running glitch. Same thing happened to me a while back. It took a few days but Gaia did replace my jellyfish. Basically got a PM from them saying they had and checked my inventory and it was there. Below is a paste of a link / post where BigLanky says they will replace the fish. I linked that post in my report. It might have helped - not sure.

I can't do much about the bug itself b/c I'm not a dev (but they're certainly aware of it), but if this happened to you, we'll take care of you. Anyone who contacted our customer support and didn't have their fish replaced got an incorrect response, for which I apologize. I've talked to the team, and it was just a misunderstanding about the issue. If you didn't get your fish replaced, please re-submit your ticket to us by following Rattie's directions above. I know that makes you go through an extra step and I'm sorry for the extra work, but this way we can keep track of everyone's requests without trying to sort through and find them in PMs.
And of course we'll keep trying to get the bug fixed in the first place!
