i think the new assasin is going to have a gun but like the very first guns that were invented the guns are gonna be crapy but its should be better than the gauntlet gun.have u ever played fable 2 well thats what century i think its gonna be in if u get wat i mean

I think most of the fighting is going to be with Desmond. He has the eagle vision from Altair and most of the skills of Ezio. then again he might use a character recently in the past.

This.

Also, considering we already got to use a pistol as Ezio in AC2, I think it goes without saying that guns will be featured in AC3.

With the ending and hints from the final 10-15 minutes of AC2, I'd believe it'd be more-so based on more modern-day assassin skills. ( Ezio was one of the last Assassins that followed the creed.

I doubt he'll use a character from the past, it's unlikely.. Well he might play as Project 16, that's what I'm guessing.

I'm going to think it's probably one of the last assassin ancestors before Desmond, probably 1800s? But what I am probably think is:
The assassin was once a guard. His family were assassins that left the country to let him end the whole trouble. Unaware of it, he becomes a guard, then was captured by the other assassins his family left behind. The guard's commander enraged, he goes and finds the assassins and holds a hostage with them. No choice, they threaten to kill the guard if they do not return the hostage. When the hostage is killed and the guard is "killed", the commander leaves, not happy about not receiving the guard. It's like a mix of Ezio and Altair's story, except it's at a very far distance. Anyways, back to my idea.
He was forced to become an assassin. He had a very good life, until all this happened. They broke his ring finger, without chopping or burning it. It was left broken, so he asked for a way to stop the pain. They burned his ring finger, and chopped it. Two traditions in one, don't you say? They covered his ring finger, then told him about the traditions of an assassin. He was trained, given a small amount of money, then left in the city to change the world. With a bag of small gold and a sword, he was mistaken for a thief, which a guard said is overreacting. He was to kill a leader of mercenaries, which were against their promise. He wondered what the promise was, but he had no choice but to kill him. Of course, the traditional way to kill an enemy is the hidden blade, right? You all said it will be with guns, but what if you don't want to be heard? If it's really hiding in plain sight, no guns MIGHT be included unless in long distance combat. What I hope for is getting to rule your own assassins and making them sneak in the castles and assassinate the guards for you. Silence is better than combat. I also hope you can be an assassin leader there :]
EDIT:
For those wondering why there shouldn't be a gun, this is my reason: why would there be a gun? I mean, you're an assassin. You can't just go and kill a guard without getting noticed because of the shooting. There was no silencer back then. You're an assassin, you are quiet. There is also no scopes, right? Or else the AC2's ending would be Desmond hiding from the staircase and shooting the guys with a sniper rifle. And, no blacksmith would make bullets if the guards are the only ones available to acquire guns. Or else there would be rampage, and the guards would be the innocent ones.

Well, here's what I think...

AC2 had a gun, in case you forgot. Ezio had a gun attachment for his hidden blade. And yes, the blacksmiths all sold bullets for your gun. Please play the game before you try to predict what will be in the sequel.

...You know? Oh, you're not listening. Okay then, carry on.

I dont care waht it is like as long as they keep the hidden blade and add guns. I think that wil be cool. mrgreen And it shows of of Ezio's memories that we didn't see in Assassin's Creed 2.

Ubi has said that they will be going the "Half-Life" way of marketing, as in episodic releases. I think that the Assassins (Modern) will set up in the place they talked about in the credits of AC2 and go deeper into the "saving the world" thing talked about by Minerva.

I think it's a bit too early to get to Project 16. Besides, Ubisoft announced not too long ago that it's mostly gonna be Ezio again. There's probably gonna be more Desmond action in present day time, though. Plus, they are probably going to

They also said that there's gonna be 7 more games in the Assassin's Creed series.

It will start off with desmond in the cabbin they goto at the end of the game, or in the truck and they apporach the cabbin. They will most likely not use Ezio again, probably some other assassin but further up in history, like the 1600's sense ezio was in the 1400's. Considering it being 1600's they will probably have muskits and they will probably goto america, or be with colombus when he goes or somthing.
