You open a cover of the journal and find a greeting at the top of the first page (post):
Greetings to you. I see you have discovered a Journal from Xanthian Internal Affairs. This particular one belongs to Dragon Sneeze, and Elizabeth. Please do not write, scribble, or do anything in this book that is against the rules of the journal owner or our shop. I picked up Elizabeth today. Dispite being a bell, she is so cute! Having been questioned before about how a dragon could care for a young girl I was convinced to spell myself human and move out of my cave and into an apartment. The transfer was oddly quick. After all, I have no furniture. I must pick some up before Elizabeth needs it.
Now to focus on my little one. Elizabeth makes the most melodic and lovely chime that I have ever heard! Even with the limited hearing abilities of my human body she touched my very heart. I feel happier just having her around.
Also, if you noticed I'm using the Xanthian calender for this journal. Hopefully it will help Elizabeth to adjust to this new, unpunny world.

Well, my aparment is fully furnished now. It helps that dragons collect treasure or else I doubt I'd have the money to do it. But now that I'm human I'll have to get a job to support baby Elizabeth. I hope that doesn't prove to be too difficult.
With some advice from Anna I've also baby proofed the apartment. I would have never thought of that. She is a veritable fountain of knowledge, I hope she helps me as Elizabeth grows.

My, my, how time does fly:
Christmas has passed, but today is New Years Eve!
Write out a RP post about how you and your item interact this day. You also get a phone call from Odyssey this day (wait they're open on holidays!?).
She schedules an appointment with you for a day after the Eve.
Also you note a new page in your journal given to you by Humfrey Two.
Journal Page Before you go visit X.I.A. again please collect 3 toys for your child to be. Try to locate some shiny trinkets, if possible, bells! If you cannot find bells then shinies will do.
Bring the trinkets with you to the shop!

I finally have Elizabeth settled in. It was amazing just how much I needed to purchase for her. I set up a room for her complete with a crib and such, but she's mostly been sleeping with me. She is quite well behaved but very energetic. When she wants to she can be very loud. She rings the cow bell an awfull lot.
I also decided she needed a stuffed toy of some sort so I went out and purchased a cute stuffed dragon. I might as well get her used to that form if I ever need to change back right? sweatdrop
I should have have enough pocket cash untill I can find a job to support us. Hopefully I can find one that will let me work out of the home, I'd rather not let anyone else take care of Elizabeth. I'm being a bit selfish I know, but I'm allowed to be. ^^

Well I've been busy with Elizabeth, she makes it hard to write in the journal. She's getting big now, and fiestier by the day. She can even wear a dragon out. sweatdrop But I'm enjoying myself. She's a riot.
I took her to the park the other day but she slept the whole time. And of course she was wide awake by the time we got home. Such is the way of things though. ^^
I found a job at the local library catologuing new books. They alow me to bring Elizabeth which helps me out alot. I spend my lunch breaks reading to her. She enjoys it intensely. The practise also seems to attract women to us like moths to a flame. I have to answer so many questions about her!

30th of Jamboree
Elizabeth and I visited my good friend Door last night. After a bit of conversation and alot of pie she offered to watch Elizabeth over the weekends. Now I'll have some time to do a few of the chores in the apartment that I've been slacking on. I may even do a bit of writing, though it will be in dragon script; I'm more used to that.
We also made a new friend yesterday, Mandi. I met her in the town square and Elizabeth seems to like her. Such nice people around these days.
Elizabeth is getting big. She's already started to crawl much to my dismay and joy. she bumped her head on the table and started to cry, but I rang her cowbell and made funny faces and it seemed to calm her down.

Valentine's Day in Gaia. Candy hearts and flowers flying around. But I recived a gift better than those. Door helped Elizabeth make me a homemade valentine! It was so cute! I was completely surprised. She's so sweet! She loves her daddy. ^^
She seems to be picking up alot of good habits from Door though. I saw her picking up her toys and putting them away the other day. She certainly didn't learn that from me! sweatdrop It was certainly a good idea to let Door take her for the weekend.

Well time goes by quickly. I've been really busy at the library and I haven't been able to write in the journal for a while! I know Elizabeth will yell at me when she's older with so few entries. sweatdrop
Elziabeth is so big now! I figure she's about 4 by our standards. She is a regular chatterbox! She keeps aking questions about everything, and she loves to keep me on my claw- er toes. It seems she's always pointing at something and asking me what it is. She makes the cutest face when she concentrates, it's all scrunched. xd heart
Her music prowes is also amazing. She can play simple songs on the minature piano I got her. She gets better everyday. She's gonna be famous some day I tell ya.
She has still been staying with Door for the weekends. She loves going. Door asked me about the XIA shop. Perhaps she'll stop by there sometime?

Event!: I want a shiny! sad
One day you are sitting around watching Elizabeth when she sees something shiny that she desires. Though try as she might she can't exactly say what it is she wants.
In frustration she goes completely still and seems to concentrate, and suddenly poof! A present box appears before her. She tears into it ... nothing!
Not giving up, Elizabeth does this twelve more times before finally on the last box there is a small red bracelet with golden bells on it!
Poor child is exhausted, but content. What is your reaction?

Something wonderful happened today. I was washing dishes after lunch when I heard Elizabeth making a rukus in the other room. I ran in and saw her surrounded by several empty boxes. She held her hand out and another box simply appeared in her hand. I was surprised though it obviously wasn't the first time I've seen magic before, I was amazed that my little girl exhibited that talent. Then it hit me. In Xanth everyone has a talent. Elizabeth was simply using hers for the first time.
I sat back and watched her without her realizing I was there. After a few more tries she accomplished what she set out to do. In the last box was a small bracelet with bells on it. It was so darling.
She ran to come get me and collided into me and we both fell down. She showed me what she had done and I smiled.
"That's my girl." I replied. And she grinned. She really knows how to make my heart melt.

Growth!:
Elizabeth seems pained, quite pained. Crying complaining of how everything hurts right down to the bone. Growth spurt? It could be, it very well could be.
The pain just seems to get worse and worse until suddenly she bursts into a bright glow! When the glow subsides there is a wobbly girl-child where a toddler was:
Caught off balance and off guard Elizabeth falls straight down unable to adjust for her new height and weight.
