What are you celebrating? How are you celebrating?
I know most people will have had their main celebrations already. I have a blot to perform tonight, though I'm still not sure to whom! Possibly Freyr!
Happy holidays to all!

I rolled out of bed briefly on the 21st to watch the sunrise, then crashed back out. The really sad part is that I had everything more or less ready to do a ritual, I just couldn't stay awake (I even went to bed early so I would get enough sleep).
Last night Hubby drank the bottle of beer I bought for the ritual, but I asked him to please give some as an offering first. Oddly enough (since he never does rituals or anything with me) he actually put it in a separate glass and set it out with an additional offering as well (dried tobacco that we picked up after the last harvest, I think).

I was up all night before the solstice so I could watch the sun rise. Once it started to show I lit the three taper candles on my Altar. Then that night, I had some pretty big plans which got Canceled, though, I had this feeling that I Needed to Meditate. Durring the Meditation I saw the face if a wolf. Blue eyes, with a spot of purple which could have been a reflection, and Black and gray Fur.

I had my celebrations on the 21st. I spent almost the whole day in the kitchen. I started off by baking homemade bread, from scratch, I roasted a leg of lamb (first time, it came out rather well) with potatoes, carrots and onions. I also made a cake but I cheated and made a box mix. I try to make every thing from scratch for my celebrations, I just didn't have the ingredients to make a desert sweatdrop
I also took a plate of everything out into the wooods and left it as an offering to any who wished to partake.

I ended up honouring Tyr, Freyr and Sunna for my blot and I looooved it. I love Tyr actually. It was so fantastic to connect with him again.
Midsummer was reportedly a time for Things in Ancient Times and thus I honoured Tyr, as some do, and it's nice to have an excuse to honour Tyr so I'll make it traditional ^_^

It sounds like everyone had fun with their celebrations, I'm glad. xp
None of my plans have gone through, unfortunately. My wife and I are having a horrible time staying with her parents. We had a blowout with them, and the puppy I adopted for my wife's birthday in October is dying. We fell in love with her, but she somehow received some hefty damage to her lower spine (who knows from where, I picked her up from the pound) which has left her with no function of her back legs and she urinates and defacates on herself. We've tried so many treatments, but nothing is working, so we're going to bring her into the vet for them to... well, put her to rest and cremate her.
On top of this, we were supposed to be moved into our trailer for Halloween, but everything that can possibly get stalled has been stalled. I'm wishing with all of my might that we'll be in by the end of this coming week, and I think we will. My wife is having a really hard time with this waiting and everything else, and I've lost some sleep too. I just want everything to be done with and go back to normal...
Sorry, it looks like I turned this into a rant... =/

Sanguina Cruenta What was the public ritual like? To the one that I serve It was interesting. At first I wasn't to sure about it as I didn't feel between the worlds when they cast their circle till after the quarters were called. They were honoring two deities whom I had never heard of before. Nyx and Lucina. It was goddess centered. There was a tree we decorated with paper ornaments on which we wrote what we hope to "illuminate" in our life which would then be ritually burned if we did not take them home. We sang some chants and raised some energy through drumming, claping, and letting loose. It was fun. I will give my all
