New Year's...
A time for joy...
A time to party...
Time for a fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present The New Year's Battle Royale,a grand celebration of the Oathbounds' arrival into the new year! We'll have it all- merriment, beverages to drink (or throw), and violence! Here are the rules:
~The Battle Royale will consist of two even teams, with names picked randomly from a hat
~Literacy is key. No leetspeak, no action asterisks, no first person. All posts for Battle Royale (and any random fights that break out beforehand) will be in third person and semi-lit. Three paragraphs isn't necessary. A couple sentences that are sweet and to the point do perfectly.
~No godmodding. Period. No weapons of mass destruction, no uber destroy the world-type attacks, no blocking/dodging everything. Offenders shall be beaten mercilessly with polo sticks.
~Requests shall be PMed to me as such:
Subject: Funkytown
{Name of Entrant}-Self-explanatory
{Weapons Being Registered for Battle}-Again, no godmodding.
{Any Types of Battle Requested Before Royale}One-on-ones with your favorite rival, special match types, etc.
{Drinks Requested}-Just to make sure we have everyone's favorites on hand.
~All are welcome, whether spectating, fighting, or running a game stand.
~Any who want to run an event game stand, PM me with the subject being "Valde." This will help me decide whether to make an event subforum or not.
~The most important rule of all: Have fun! It's a celebration!
~Hats are a requirement for the main battle. Hats are a sign of epic coolness. You must wear one. No exceptions.
~All who want to join, please send your request in by 1/1/10 at 12:00 noon.~
By the way, kudos to DarkJewel64 for coming up with this idea.

If you cannot make it on the 1st, tell me now so I can get the best date for all of us to be on.

If you cannot procure a hat by the date of the event, one will be provided to you. However, the tastefulness and seriousness of the hat cannot be guaranteed.
