Oddy was cleaning up the storefront waiting for the next person to come through the door. Many unexpecting were unintentionally pounced by the blonde as she cheerfully pronounced, "YOU ARE FINALLY HERE!"
While a happy, and good greeting for a friend it isn't exactly proper to do to a stranger, or so Humfrey-clone tried to explain many times after the first couple of times. It seemed to sink in after the last time Humfrey explained it to her.
So now the blonde chanted at herself while dusting a shelf, "Subtle is better than exploding. Subtle is better than exploding..."

A tall man with glasses entered the shop. He looked a bit out of sorts, but friendly enough. "Uh...I'm here to pick up a bell?" he said. He had won an action with money that his friend had put up for him. Though a little confused as to just what he had won, he was curious enough to pick it up himself.

She almost dropped the broom upon hearing the voice, but instead her grip merely tightened as if trying to keep herself to the ground. Odyssey took a deep long breath while her back was turned to him. Mentally she counted while loosening her grip she faced Dragon Sneeze with a rarely seen serene smile on her face, "Welcome, yes, the bell. Do you have a name for her?" with every ounce of willpower she had Oddy went to the near by wall and leaned the broom against it.
Oddy didn't want to scare away or frighten anyone else today. Even the first man that came in was a little skittish at her vibrancy and Humfrey Two scolded her about it.

DS scratched his head and smiled. "Uh, name?" He was slightly confused. "I'm not sure what you mean." Her personality was quite strong, but he wasn't nervous because of that.

He didn't know? Oh dear, how to explain ...
"Well, the bell is actually a person. Well. it is going to be a baby after I get the antidote made and administer it later. Anyhow, it comes form a different world and ...The only way I could transport people here is by having them turned into items first." Odyssey explained as carefully and clearly as she could, "People in my world wanted to come to Gaia for various reasons. I am not exactly clear on this one's reasons for coming here." She wandered to the counter now moving behind it to look around, "Anyways, when they are born every baby deserves a name. We decided that it'd be nicer to let people who get the items to let them name it. Since they forget a majority of their past names included, they need new ones."
She got out a bell and set it up on the counter and then dug around for it's certificate, "Then there is also the fact that we do not exactly ask them their names either, we just ask them why and then poof."
"So the Bell needs a name, and when I have the antidote ready I'll call on you again." She would no doubt answer his questions until the end of time. Odyssey was just that patient, unlike Humfrey Two who was now working his way out to the front with DS's journal in hand.

DS spotted Humfrey and his mouth dropped. I know you! Aren't you the Good Magician? He realized he was ignoring Odyssey and stopped. "Oh I'm sorry. How about Elizabeth? I've always liked that name."

Humfrey guffawed a little, "More like his double. I am here to help Odyssey keep from getting lost. Don't let her fool you, she's quite a ditz." He hobbled over and gruffly offered up a book, "This is a journal. Keep track of everything in it. You'll often find it records your daily interactions as well. Sometimes tasks or quests may appear. Follow what they tell you for often times they appear to help guide to the next stage." Humfrey didn't wait for DS to take the book as he removed his book and hobbled to the back again, "Take the book or don't, I have stuff t'finish and fix now that Odyssey broke them." The gnomish-double grumped.
Odyssey pouted after the retreating figure, "Ol' coot. I call him Humfrey Two, which is what he prefers." She scribbles something on the Bell's certificate, "Lovely name. E-liz-a-beth." She sounded it out for herself before taking cert and bell into her hands and moving around the counter and toward DS, but she waited first for the man to take the floating book.

DS stood taking in the instructions and after he was sure he had them down he nodded. "I got it." he said as he took the journal, "Thank you very much!"
He turned to leave, but stopped and turned around. "I almost forgot Elizabeth!"
He carefully picked up the bell and waved goodbye to Oddy.

She let him take Elizabeth but she also made sure the Certificate also went with it, tucking it into his grasp quite cleverly to where he somehow grasped that as well.
"Have fun! I'll call when the antidote is ready, byebye now!" She waved him off and then went about her own business in shop...

Sneeze looked through the window of the shop. He saw Oddy rushing around inside. Wow, so they really are open... he thought.
The door swung open as he stepped inside. "Hello? I was told to show up today?" he said. Elizabeth sat gently in his right hand. In his left he has a small bag with a few trinkets inside.

Odyssey stopped what she was doing and squeaked a bit sheepishly as if she had been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. In honesty she was doing last minute preparations for the antidote 'ritual' as she liked to call it, "Oh! Yes, yes. You are right on time. Come with me to the back." She smiled warmly at Dragon Sneeze while she grabbed up something from behind the counter.
Humfrey Two was already in the back mixing something in a large cauldron. The backroom is a large and somewhat chaoticly organized mess. It had a nice lived in feel and yet some of the items kept here had an ominous 'do not touch' feel to them. There was also the scent of differing herbs and strange liquids.

Dragon Sneeze nodded and followed her. For some reason the strange smells in the air had a comforting effect on him. He nodded to Humfrey Two, but he seemed to busy to notice. Placing his bag on the table, he turned to speak but the bag was top heavy and it fell over spilling out its contents:

Oddy was busily roaming about the room humming softly for a moment. Amazingly Humfrey Two acknowledged Dragon's presence with a small grunt and a bit of speech, "Makes me do all the work."
The blonde just groaned after hearing Humfrey Two simply responding, "All I did was ask you to stir. You can stop now by the way." She replied in a haughty tone filled with implied self importance, or the rare annoyance.
Humfrey stopped and hobbled to a soft cushy seat that sat in the corner of a room, having been dubbed completed with his work he felt he didn't need to watch what he dubbed a disaster any further.
She just glared after him before regaining her usual cheerful stride, "Oh good you have everything, you ready? If so, put Elizabeth in the cauldron here." Oddy pointed as if Dragon couldn't see the large black mass that had bubbling sounds issuing from it, "Don't worry it won't hurt her." She added almost as if it were an after thought.

DS didn't look completely convinced, but he did as he was told. As slowly and gently lowered the bell into the cauldron. He then looked expectingly to Oddy.
"Are you sure she'll be alright?" he asked. His nervous look said that he didn't think so.

Oddy nodded and giggled, "We all go through too much work to break the spirit and item both." She watched as the bell sunk beneath the liquid of the cauldron. For a moment all was still before a hissing and groaning sound exited the cauldron..Suddenly the fire went out from beneath the cauldron and the liquid began to retreat.
Oddy put her hands on the rim of the cauldron to lean over and peer into it. One one think since the cauldron just had a fire going on it that it would be hot to the touch, but yet it seemed it cooled quite quickly, "Look! It worked, there she is!"
Indeed if he looked into the cauldron there was the child but she was pale and faded. Elizabeth barely seemed to be breathing as if in a deep sleep.
"Give me the bells and Elizabeth will be all done!" Odyssey replied cheerfully, ignoring anything that might be said, "It is the usual affect of the emerging, we also have to perform an awakening soon after." She explained.
