Dafina shifted herself lazily, stretching out her front paws until sharp little claws appeared and yawned. Thaddeus, her father’s younger brother and her uncle, was taking her out today. He had promised he would at least. Staying coped up in and around their den was not something the young lioness appreciated at all. She was far from the mindset of thankfulness for a safe den, all the food she could want and the stability her home offered her. She took it all for granted and simply wanted more. In her young mind all this was not only what she deserved but the basic necessities for survival. Unlike her mother Dafina did not know the meaning of hunger or anything of the like.

She and her sibling and her entire family were spoiled. After ensuring her limbs were stretched and she could drag her nap out no longer she rose slowly, and looked around, expecting Thaddeus to simply appear before her. She was ready, he should be here.
