Different subject matter, same s**t. I've had some really idiotic questions and statements like that. They amuse me now though since whatever stereotype they believe I'll play off that and tell them 'new trends' that are just completely asinine and they believe it!! xd Gotta love strange people.

I've had a lot of "are you british" comments... then they barrage me with "go drink some tea", "have some crumpets" and my personal favourite, "british!!!!" I mean, what an insult... rolleyes

Do you still get annoyed? (This is very random but have you heard Gackt's Love Letter album? Was it any good? Most of the reviews I've read have been pretty....unenthusiastic, to say the least. ^^; )

I normally just say something to them in a fake cockney accent... It really confuses them...
They're all like, so are you french?
If it's in a positive way... I suppose I just take it in.Fraid not, I haven't got the album.

There ain't nothing wrong with us British. mrgreen
I find it amusing when someone American says to me (which I've rarely heard actually) that us British are total losers, and then another American, a friend that is, goes on about how s**t the Americans themselves are, and how she hates the place and the majority of the population is covered with weirdos... sweatdrop It is quite amusing....

Reminds me of when my boyfriend was playing Halo 2 on XBL with his best friend, some guy they were playing against was all "What's with the British accents?" like they were faking it ... I had to laugh. It's like what, you think that real british people don't play games or get online? xd

It's less prevalent now than it used to be. When I first came online - eight years ago now - any mention in a chat room that I was British used to bring a chorus of "Pip pip, old chap! Tally ho!" and whatnot.
I think that as more of us've gotten onto the 'net, other people might've gotten used to us. smile
