Since this is my wonderful boyfriend's first role-play, I'm setting up this private thread for just the two of us so I can teach him the ropes! I'm excited that he's taking an interest in something that I've loved for almost five and a half years now!

Genre: Victorian Fantasy
Story: For this one, there will be no real story. It's open for all possibilities.
Setting: A very small town in the valley of a large mountain range and its surrounding forest. It is roughly mid-day in the middle of autumn

Emma was sitting on a large boulder that rested at the end of one of the local farmer's fields. Atop her head, her gray wold ears twitched, as did her tail behind her. slate-colored eyes scanned the lining of the trees in the distance. The small pale girl blinked, her nose wrinkling to the side. The pale bronce freckles on her face were easily noticable in the afternoon sun. Turning her attention to the small town in the distance, her tail flicked again. "I wonder if anything interesting is goin' on here," she mused to herself.

Arthur Sandoval clutched the rough bark of the nearest tree. Sweat dripped from every pore as he struggled through the piercing pain to pull even half of a breath. Glancing downward he drew his hand away from the gaping wound in his left side it had just been applying pressure to. Could have been much worse... Still it was pretty serious. If he didn't get some sort of medical attention soon, there would be no telling how long he could maintain.
Willing himself to push further, Arthur reapplied the bloody cloth to his injury and stood up fairly straight, using the tree as leverage. The sweat stung his eyes as more sunlight penetrated the treetops. He couldnt be sure but squinting through the sweat he thought he could make out the faint form of a town or encampment in the distance. "Well if I've got a shot, this is probably it", he thought. Somewhere in the back of his mind there were surely some reservations about entering this foreign zone but all uncertainties took a back seat to the fact that Arthur was losing lots of blood and very fast.
"Here goes nothing", he said softly to no one in particular. With that he broke through the final row of trees and began to limp through the open meadow towards help... hopefully.

The wolf girl sitting atop the over-sized rock stopped for a moment. She was squatted down and ready to jump down to head into town went a familiar smell of copper caressed her nose. Ear twitching as the breeze swept by, the round-faced girl began to peek around. That's when she spotted a limping man in the distance, and like any puppy, she wandered over to him quickly.

"Ah, ha!" she said, probably startling the poor fellow. "So you're the source of the smell," she said, standing on her tip toes so that her nose was mere inches from his as she blinked into his eyes. Just like a canine, for ya. "Ah, gross!" she recoiled, pinching her nose. "You must be hurt bad. That's a strong salty copper smell ya got there, pal. How are you even walking?" she said very quickly, going back to examining the man. "Aw geeze, that's definitely not good," she muttered, quickly locating his wound.

Taking a step back, she placed one hand on her hip and snapped her fingers with the other. From the earth, a small set of green sparks errupted no higher than two inches before a vine curved upward. The girl held out her hand and from the vine blosssumed what looked to be some sort of stick or piece of bark. The plant dispelled the herb (or whatever it was) and quickly wilted back into the dirt.

"Here, chew on this. It'll ease the pain and help stop the bleeding a little while you make it to town. Geeze, I hope they have a good doc there. I haven't really been here before. You must be from around these parts somewhere, I mean, there's no other town for miles," she went on, hopping behind him to give him an encouraging nudge towards the town.

Arthur stumbled onward wearily. His strength was being sapped with every step he took torwards the village. Had he more of his wits about him he might have been concerned about the strange little dog girl who could apparently will nature to do her bidding. In fact, had he more of his wits about him he most likely would have unsheathed his sword and diced the little varmint up for being so odd. But alas, he had very little of his wits about him.

So he said nothing, chewed the bark and hobbled along with the dog girl in tow.

The town was getting nearer. Probably another 200 yards to the nearest structure. Arthur thought he could make out people but wasn't positive and honestly didn't care too much at that moment, considering.

All he wanted was a medic or midwife to patch him up and give him a place to lay his head. Maybe some Ale too. Yes, Ale would be quite nice. He turned slightly to look over his shoulder at the dog girl. She looked directly back at him with big wonder filled eyes and wagged her tail rythmically. Who was she? How long did she plan to follow him?

Arthur wasnt sure of much at this point. Assurance would have to wait.

"Hmm," the wolf girl hummed as they officially arrived in the small town. "Ah... Uh huh!" she said, seeming to perk up slightly. There were several people walking about the streets but they weren't over-crowded. As far as her travels went, empty streets were droll and creepy but over populated areas tended to be hard to navigate through, especially when one was injured. Lucky for the injured knight guy, there were just enough people out to get information from but not enough to block his path, and from what Emma could tell, he wouldn't be able to limp along much longer.

"Excuse me, ma'am!" she called, hopping past the man with great agility to approach a nearby woman. The lady was a little startled by the girl's energy, but it didn't seem she thought anything of her having wolf features such as her ears, tail, and claw-like fingernails or her shaggy grey-white hair. "I was traveling through here and stumbled across this injured man. Would you mind pointing me in the direction of the doctor or healer or whatever else it might be that you have here?" she asked. The woman gave the knight a concerned look before pointing Emma in the right direction. "Alright, thanks! Let's get you goin'!" she said, turning to face the strange man again.
