Sporting a various amounts of villas, farmsteads, monasteries, and a few fortresses, Tuscany is the hillsides that seperate many large cities of Italy. It's history sports little to know, yet, in truth, it is the place that holds much excitement. This can be found in the many artists and smiths that take this as their home, the artists finding the rolling hills a beautiful place to paint, due to its huge selection of colors in the various seasons.

It is here, that many assassins and their families, long known in secret, take refuge, able to hide in family old Villas, collect arts, honor their family, and far more. It is here, in the rural plains and rolling hills, that the most notorious become the common, or vice-versa. This is the place where almost anything can become something. Or, end in a quick, horrible way.

Carlotta wanders aimlessly throughout the town center, in search of a vase. A stupid stray cat had broken her original one, and felt her kitchen table so barren without it. With the cat stabbed repeatedly with a piece of the ruined glass, she made her way through the market as if everything was normal.

As often happened, Carlotta's train of thought soon ran off track. A basket of fresh tomatoes had caught her eye. Few things brought her joy in life, but one of those few, was tomatoes. She quickly paid for the entire basket and sat herself down on a bench to snack.

With teeth like small daggers, Carlotta tore at the tomato's soft flesh. The juices flowed over her lips, dying them red.
"Delizioso..." she said between bites, chewing with dignity.

She proceeds to devour three more tomatoes. The sun reaches its peak in the sky. Bored again, Carlotta takes up her basket and proceeds to walk back to her home.

As the sun begins to set, Carlotta enters her home. The warm brick walls are charming, but remain devoid of tapestries in paintings commonly found in other homes. She places the tomato basket on the table and retires to her bedroom to clean her wrist blade.

Much to her dislike, there were still bloodstains on the blade. Normally, she reveled in the sight of the crimson fluid, but now it was dried and browned, and not worthy to be upon her blade.

A subtle breeze filled the air, a tapping of running men also echoed. Calamity had come from Roma, he was sick of the aimless fighting and also was chasing down a Templar. He noted his movement and stopped running when he reached the rooftop, he held out his arm and a minature crossbow folded outward from his gauntlet, a newly developed alternative to the hidden gun with the aid of his newfound friend Xavier. He took aim through the small telescopic sight and fired. The drawstring swish was all that was heard, well... That and the cries of a dying Templar. He dropped off of the building as Calamity climbed down. Townspeople ran in all directions allowing him to blend in with the crowd quite easily. He was confused of where to go so he waited it out by an oldern looking building. He stepped inside and noted a girl cleaning a hidden blade.
Good, she's an assassin too.
He thought and folded the hidden crossbow back into the gauntlet form.
"Sister, who may you be?"

Carlotta did not look up from her work and continued to scrap the dried blood off her blade, "one who desires the same deaths as you."

As the girl spoke, he inserted another crossbow bolt into the hidden bow and locked it in place. He tested his hidden blade under the same arm (the crossbow is fitted on top as the hidden blade is underneath.). Calamity sat down and retracted his hidden blade.
"Who's blood is that?"
He asked in a calm mannor, he didn't show much emotion when he met the other assassins. That ticked off the leader but he made a statement. Calamity opened a book and began scribbling in it, he had the habit of writing poems for each Templar and target he killed. Guards just were a tally a the bottom of the page.

"A Templar spy," she looked up when the blade was cleaned to her satisfaction. Her eyes shimmered like fine gemstones, but there was no soul behind them, "I have to say, it was too easy... I think they may be studying us, trying to figure out how the Brotherhood functions...."

Calamity noticed she turned to look at him, he looked into her eyes but not too deeply for he did not want to lose himself in them. Calamity's greyblue eyes were cold as ice but had a deeper meaning that most didn't notice. An eye for revenge, but not just any revenge. It was retribution.
"Aye, and I've killed a Templar just recently. He appeared to be quite a coward, considering that he ran off. I've tracked him from Roma. These Templars, a new breed? They do not seem to be as strong as their forefathers..."
He said lightly, finishing his poem on the newly claimed coward.

"Cowards, they may be, but they are still intelligent." she stood up and tested the hidden blade on the table. It went straight through the wood, "If we let our guard down, they will take advantage of it... they fight with their heads, not with their fists... it's a disgrace."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 21, 2011 4:29 pm

Calamity let out a small sigh of amusement (like a 'heh') and fired his crossbow bolt quickly at the table, it pierced it and went through the other side. These weren't just wooden bolts, they were steel and sharpened to a point.
"We do not exactly fight with our fists either, sister. And it takes a mental toll to know when and where to strike."
He was honest, assassins were more tactical than brute.

"I didn't mean literally," Carlotta pushed a lock of hair out of her eyes, "but more along the lines of that we do the dirty work ourselves...." she glanced briefly down at the rosary upon her wrist, then back to the stranger's eyes, "Do you have a name? Or are you not at liberty to say?"
