my mom is finally pescetarian. She likes to say "vegetarian that eats fish" though, because pescetarian sounds like Presbyterian. lol

It's so great that she took that step! Even the baby steps count. (:
Congrats to her, I hope the change brings her happiness and inspires even more compassion.

I have a few friends that look at me in awe when I talk about being seafood-free for over two years...."You?!?" BUT you LOVE the clam chowder!"
Yes, I am veggie, and even I have left alone the clam chowder. I'm a little sad sometimes, but I remind myself how aweful the fishing world has become in terms of getting the "live stock" for the masses. I would be a hypocrite to eat the fish but not the animal. So, all in all, I see them all the same. Yep, I paint with a broad brush!

I wish my mom would at least give that a chance sad She was pretty cool with it but the my brother tried to explain away why I'm always cold with 'your diets lacking severely' and so now my mom thinks I'm dying. Like today I bought some nutritional yeast, I've told her a million times I'm buying it to make things cheesey and what does she say to me 'Oh you should put some of that yeast in your smoothies'. My mom is so ignorant and won't listen, it makes me want to rip my hair out DX

Congratz! I'm trying to convince my dad, and I know I'll never be able to convince my mom because she doesn't really like animals that much. My dad usually gives me the excuse that it's too hard for him to stop eating meat now, because he's been eating it his whole life. I hope someday I can convince him, though >.<
