Emiko came into her new room, and put away all her things. She hung up her posters of all of her favorite heavy metal bands, and threw herself into her bed. She thought to herself "Why me?" She sat up, and checked her texts. "Nothing from Alex, hmph" she thought. She put her iPod into her iHome, and started playing Snuff by Slipknot. A tear rolled down her cheek.

there was music (loud music) coming from her dorm. that must have meant that her new roomate was already there, even though electra was quite sure that she was early. quietly, electra put her ear to the door. slipknot. she recognized it immediately. knocking lightly first, electra entered her room and found her roomate, crying on her bed. "hi," she murmured politely, closing the door quickly. "you must be emiko."

Emiko heard someone say her name, and said "Who?, what?, oh, yeah, sorry, wait, are you my roommate?"

electra laughed quietly. "it must be the music, you can turn it down." she walked around the room--tiny, it sure was--and set her bag down on the remaining bed. she would have to find a place to put her things later. "i'm your new roomate, electra. don't get too tired of me."

Emiko laughed "Don't worry" and then she turned down the music and asked "So what music do you listen to?" Hoping the metal didn't freak her out

"i like punk, alternative, and hard metal." electra replied, taking her iPod out of her duffel to scroll through her songs. she slipped her earbuds into her ears to listen to the now-playing song, which happened to be by metallica. "i like slipknot, you were playing that earlier."
