Kira's office consists of a room with simple furnishings. A bookshelf with books covering various subjects of interest lies against the wall behind her desk. The desk itself is usually covered with stacks of paperwork, neatly organized. Several windows around the room let in enough sunlight to keep the room sufficiently lit, but can be closed by drawing curtains for privacy. A lamp and ceiling light fixture provide lighting when the windows are closed or when there is no sunlight. There is a large rug on the floor in the empty space between the desk and her door.
A second door leads to Kira's room, in which there is a mattress and pillow on the floor. A partial wall and a third door separate the sleeping area from the bathroom.
The main door to her office is thick, polished mahogany wood. and reinforced with kido to protect against unauthorized entry. The door has no lock or key and can only be opened with Kira's zanpakutou, or its scabbard.
