((Post any character you wish, try out what you want. Be the Emperor Jagang, or even Richard Rahl. There are no rules, other than Gaia TOS))
Here the rules of Space and Time have little to no meaning. Here, what once was, is so again. Here anything is possible. Past and Future collide, here in the place between worlds, and even those long dead have been known to walk and speak.

The wind coming off the rocks was scorching hot, and the sun beat down overhead. The standing pillars of worn rock towered over the surrounding crags, but gave little shade to the lone man standing there. He was an odd sort, this one. He was dressed like a nobleman, but missing his right hand. He had a sword at his waist, and his demeanor suggested he was well aware of its use.
Rand wiped the sweat from his face with his left hand, glaring through the harsh brightness of this foreign place. He opened himself to the One Power, and looked about him as the landscape came into sharp relief.
"What Hell is this?" he asks the wind.

She stood at the top of the hill, looking down upon the barren landscape around her. The man in the midst of the pillars intrigued her. She wondered why he was there. Who in their right mind would come to this place? She shook her head. Why had she come here? She shook her head. She was losing her mind!
She felt the wind, she felt the heat. Her mind was a daze as she put one foot forward, than the other, slowly walking towards the center of the desert before her, towards the pillars in that center.

Rand could feel eyes on him. He wove a web that allowed him to see living forms, and settled the net of power on himself. He detected a few minor lifeforms, mostly desert mice and a few predators.
The voice of Lews Therin, his past self, spoke in his head. "Where have you taken us madman. The whole world feels different."
"Hmm, we shall see, won't we?" he said. He raised his head and looked skyward. There was little here that could be called shelter, so he decided that the path ahead was indeed the best bet. He started off, his long legs eating up the distance, and soon he found a rocky alcove that looked like a promising place to sit out of the sun.

She wandered aimlessly, her feet methodically going one after the other. She was barely aware of the strange man in front of her moving as well. She paid him little attention. She made her feet keep moving until she reached the pillars. At that point, she could go no further and collapsed next to one of the rock giants that dominated the landscape.
She was exhuasted, she was dazed, and she was numb to everything around her. She could not even cry, even though she wanted to and she thought it would make her feel better. She leaned against the pillar, staring at the desert around her, yet seeing nothing.

Rand sensed the life in someone, and followed the glowing light of the weave to a girl, lying nearly unconscious. He weaves the flows for Healing, never his strongest talent, and settled the weave atop her head.
"You choose a strange place to be, though I could say the same for myself. If I knew where I was." Rand says. "Give it a moment, and you will be as right as rain."

Sara walks through the heat, wiping the sweat from her face. She climbs on a rock, overlooking the pillars of rocks in front of her.
"Why is this place so darn hot?" she says. "It feels like I stepped into an oven."
She removes a small book from the pouch in her bodice and opens to a page. She mutters a few words, and suddenly it is easier to breathe and the heat isn't so bad.

She blinked, looked uncomprehendingly at the strange man before her. Right as rain? She thought. There is no rain in this place. She didnt want to be alright. She wanted to be left alone but at the same time, the mans presence was if anything, a tiny bit comforting. She wondered again briefly why he was there.
Why was she there for that matter. When she had left her home, she had never expected to be forced into such a place as this. She shuddered, thinking of all the others who had come through here unwillingly, who had been forced to leave. She had had no idea that such a fate had awaited them.
She didnt say anything to the man but a new thought occurred to her. He had said a moment and she would feel better. It had been longer than just a mere moment and she still felt the same. Who was he that he would think that just saying she would be ok would make it so?
She immediately regretted the thought. He was just trying to help. It was not his fault that she was in this situation. It was hers and no one else. the city council might have had something to do with it. She thought bitterly. But it had been her choice to leave. they had not forced her, they had not even told her to leave. She had made that choice all by herself. The thought of being by herself, without her family and friends terrified her. But she had had to do it. She could not live without him. She could not continue to live among her people, especially since the one who had done it was still there and all he had recieved was a reprimand. She knew she was being selfish to think that he deserved more of a punishment but it had been his first offense. Seth had been her world, her life. She could not live there without him.
She had never known that her choice would lead to this.
She looked back up at the man next to her, seeing the concern on his face for the first time. Thank you but i dont think i will ever be alright again she said through dry, cracked lips, her voice hoarse.

Rand stood up. He let the weaves go, and the healing faded. "There is nothing wrong with you that I can fix." he says, standing up. He looks around hoping to see maybe a trail leading out of this place.
"This place reminds me of the Waste, back home. But I don't recognize anything. The land is all wrong for the Waste." he looks down at the girl. "would you have any idea where we are?" he asks.

She shook her head. She had had no idea that this desolate place was here. You have probably seen more of this place than i have. i have only ever been home and here. But i cant go back home.

"I gather that this is not your home." he says. "Perhaps I can Travel here, I will try."
He makes the weave for a gateway, but the threads do not hold, as if there is no 'here' to attach to.
"Okay, I am officially stumped." he says.

She stared at him, trying to comprehend what it was that he was doing. She had never met anyone that could just will things to happen like he kept trying to do. She never actually saw anything happen so that is what it seemed like to her.
She shook her head. Well, just dont try to go back that way. You wont get very far. She indicated back where she had come from.

"Normally, I can Travel from one place to another." he says. "But for some reason I cannot here. Its like I am on a completely different world."
