[ Should I use the same character as the other fight? As well, good luck, Nyrk Saron ! Though you won`t be needing much, seeing how poor my rolls have been lately! xd ]

Since Markus was more than a bit incapacitated due to his last battle, the good judges of the new Battle Dome decided to bring someone else in to fill his place until the poor ol' demon could get back on his feet.

Why they chose Hans Reuter, the world would never know. He fought nothing like the demon, and had not a hint of evil or demon-ness in him. A bit of mischief, maybe, but nothing too serious.

Ah, maybe the judges just wanted to see the poor lad turn into a splat. And as Hans` opponent finally arrived, it was already quite clear that the judges would get what they wanted, for Hans was almost a speck of dust compared to Nyrk, who was of an impressive build and carried an innumerable amount of weapons. Hans would have felt intimidated, but as he always loved a challenge, he did not falter. Instead, he smiled broadly and bowed extravagantly to his opponent.

"Hallo, mein Herr!" He stood again, readied the blade strapped tightly onto his arm. "A pleasure to fight you." But already, Hans had a plan. If he can only use his speed to his advantage, he should be able to defeat Nyrk. Speed, if anything, seemed to be the greatest advantage he had over his opponent.

( Heh, I've been having a run of good luck. The way I see it, my luck's due to run out any minute now, really. )

Nyrk took a look at his opponent, not willing to underestimate any facet of him. Not that Nyrk ever dared underestimate even cannon fodder, though. "Ready?" he asked his opponent, who responded with a decisive nod. Nyrk used his axe this fight, swinging it heavily across the arena. The first blow to strike made a loud report as it struck Untergang's armblade. The next blow met the same fate, but the one succeeding it was Untergang's scoring a wound on Nyrk's left arm. It was deep enough to force Nyrk to drop his axe, and he resorted to a one-handed weapon. His one-handed weapon of choice: the stake.

The exorcist slashed at Untergang, parrying and countering with his own blade. Nyrk, however, with his lighter weapon, was more capable of parrying his foe's strikes as well, and though Untergang was able to break his stake, Nyrk only withdrew more as they splintered beyond usefulness. Eventually the battle was decided with a debilitating strike into the shoulder. It was Nyrk's stake, Untergang's shoulder.

Nyrk took a step back, claiming victory without undue violence.

A judgement question is asked, and as referee, I must make a call.

Yes, it is legal to change avatar appearance in this setting. You can include a wacky tale of how it happened too if you would like flavor. (If nothing else, just blame Jolzen having bad aim with his transformation magic rolleyes )

Oh, ignore this post in the fight... I'm in my little luxury box with the fancy whistle and flags. xd

[Let`s see what roll the dice have in store for me now. xd
Bahh, I had a feeling that would happen. Oh well!]

Hans stumbled backwards, momentarily dizzy from the burning pain in his shoulder. And, just his luck, it was the shoulder of his preferred arm! It seemed his arm-blade would be of no further use. But Hans regained himself just quickly enough to dodge another strike from Nyrk, and as his opponent struggled to regain balance, Hans quickly took the stake out of his shoulder.

Despite the pain, the young man laughed. This fight was only in good spirit, yes? "Clever, mein Herr. . ." He shrugged his shoulders to help ease the pain a bit, and then abruptly dove in to slash at the bag containing the stakes with a dagger he held in his other hand. Before Nyrk could react, his wooden weapons had scattered across the arena floor. They would be of no more use to him, not if he wanted to keep his eyes on his opponent.

But Hans wouldn`t escape that strike without consequence. Before he could get out of range of all of Nyrk`s weapons, the Exorcist whirled about and dealt quite a blow to the young man`s head with his Bible. Hans stumbled back and fell onto his rear. He was terribly dazed and open to attack, even as he slowly got back onto his feet.

( Ah, hell, I can see where this is going. Isn't my situation the same situation we BOTH were in? )

Nyrk's left arm felt well enough to battle. He took up another stake, now one in each hand. He approached the enemy combatant, then attacked. The left one stabbed, the right one slashed. Untergang ducked the right one, parried the left, swept his foot, and down went the exorcist. Not for good, of course. He got back to his feet in time to parry a slash, but a pragmatic punch to the gut sent Nyrk back two paces. Nyrk made a heavy stabbing motion with his right, which Untergang sidestepped, but Nyrk kept his momentum, bringing his cross around. One of his favorite tricks. The cross plunged into Untergang's torso, knocking him flat. Not willing to let that end the fight, he struggled back to his feet, hyperventilating, as the blow had knocked the wind out of him. He took another slash at Nyrk, this time scoring a wound through his armor. Nyrk grasped his wound, but with the back of his stake, scored a decisive blow on Untergang's head, knocking him out.

The two of them struggled to catch their breath.

[Yes, I think so ! It looks like this round will go to you, Nyrk !
. . . Or not? Heheh, I apologize for robbing the victory ! xd ]

Hans grimaced as he struggled to get back onto his feet. That knock from the last fight had certainly dealt a fair amount of damage. The young man prodded at his ribs and quickly noticed that the flesh surrounding them was sore. Something had probably broken. Breathing was laboured. But he powered on anyway.

"My turn !" the young man forced between his gasps for breath. Nyrk seemed to question his foe`s ability to carry on, but soon found that he had no reason, even yet, to underestimate Hans.

For, before the exorcist could do much damage, Hans had swiftly swept in and sliced at one of Nyrk`s knees, jumping back just in time to evade much of the retaliation that followed. Nyrk, unable to support the weight of his cross on just one knee, promptly crashed to the ground and was held immobile by the cross.

But Hans had not escaped completely unharmed. He had a fair share of cuts and bruises from Nyrk`s precise blows. But he most certainly wasn`t in too much of a bad shape compared to Nyrk.

( Just how it happened last time. Win... win... loseloselose. XD )

This battle began eagerly, neither combatant exchanging pleasantries beforehand. It was time to finish the battle. Nyrk took hold of his stakes, blocking Untergang's first strike with both of them. The next strike Untergang took bounced off Nyrk's armor, and Nyrk's stab was deflected. Nyrk watched his opponent closely, formulating a quick plan. Untergang slashed again, for Nyrk's torso, but Nyrk brought his stake upon the offending blade heavily, putting a dent in his stake but trapping the blade. Nyrk took his other stake, ready to drive it into the flesh of Untergang's blade arm, but Untergang threw a kick, knocking Nyrk off his blade. A slash across the torso. Untergang's blade. Nyrk's torso.

"Isn't this familiar to you...?" Nyrk said, smirking weakly.

[Heh, I wonder how this will go, then! xd
I apologize for the wait. I was getting restless from sitting at the computer so I went for a short walk.]

"Familiar?" Hans chuckled as he backed up. He wasn`t going to give Nyrk a chance to attack him at close range. "Maybe so. . ."

There was no time for chit-chat. Hans knew that his opponent was extremely clever, and this was probably another one of his ploys. No, he would dive directly into the action. A broad grin split across Hans` face. "Maybe I should mix it up."

Before Nyrk could respond, Hans had already charged at him, jumped up and dealt a fierce kick to the exorcist`s torso. Nyrk wobbled but managed to stay standing, and immediately turned towards Hans, who was skidding to a halt. A bottle of holy water to the eyes startled the young man just enough for Nyrk to have the chance to drive another stake into his foe`s arm.

But Hans retaliated before the wound became too deep. A swift cut to both of Nyrk`s arms sent him reeling back, and the stakes to the floor. Hans plucked the stake out of his arm and immediately went in for another strike. He attempted a punch, but Nyrk expertly blocked it. But while the exorcist was busy on the defence, Hans swept in with another punch, which landed onto Nyrk`s face with just ferocity and force that it cracked some bone. Nyrk stumbled back and fell, defeated for now. But Hans knew that he would be up and at him in no time.

( OH WOW. o_o; )

Nyrk got to his feet, testing all his injuries, gauging his capabilities and the capabilities of his opponent. He pushed the thoughts of pain to the back of his mind, then lunged at Untergang, right arm cocked back for a vicious stab. An agile move on Untergang's part caused Nyrk to trip on his foot. Nyrk turned mid-fall, landing on his side and quickly getting up. Untergang had lunged, intending to take advantage of Nyrk's fall, but the exorcist had recovered quickly enough to parry a particularly vicious slash, which nonetheless succeeded in cleaving Nyrk's stake beyond usefulness. Nyrk picked up another stake with his right hand, blocking a subsequent attack with his left. Untergang made a fist of his blade-bearing hand, sending it into a stabbing punch, which Nyrk stepped just out of range. The distance disconcerted Nyrk, making him flinch, and allowing Untergang to deliver a hearty kick to Nyrk's leg. The exorcist stumbled, but regained his footing, bashing Untergang in the chest with his elbow. Untergang managed to regain his footing, but the battle was over.

Nyrk's stakes. One inch of space. Untergang's neck.

Nyrk released his opponent, sighing, "What a brawl..."

( Good fight, Untergang. Sorry I stole your win. )

[ The one I`ve used for this fight was Hans Reuter. He`s in the third post of my character bio page. I don`t use him very often, so that`s probably why you`ve never seen him. xd ]
