Ok, so at a press conference on Saturday afternoon before UFC 108. St. Pierre happened to mention that he’s seriously thinking about taking a hiatus from mixed martial arts to chase a dream of winning an Olympic medal in freestyle wrestling. He also went on to say that he hasn't made his final decision yet. His final decision will have to wait until after his next title defense, on March 27th against Dan Hardy.
So, what do you GSP fans or UFC fans in general think about his dream? Do you think he should go for it? And who do you think will win the St. Pierre vs Hardy match?

GSP is one of the best, if not THE BEST, takedown specialists in the UFC! I would love to see if he'll do well in the Olympics! It's a good way to test his wrestling skills. And I think there's no chance of Dan Hardy taking the belt from GSP...!!!

I hope he does it, it'll help bring free style wrestling to the broadcasting area of the show. Though thats a while from now, so I don't think we have to worry about that anytime soon.

Hell if it wasn't for the opportunity at UFC 79 ... he would have tried to go to the Olympics anyway ...

I think its a good goal for anyone to try to get a gold medal in the Olympics, and i think he had the back ground to make it! Best of luck if he trys to go for it.

I hope he does, he is probably the best wrestler and takedown/control artist in the UFC for someone who never had a solid wrestling background like a Matt Hughes, Dan Henderson, Cain Valesquez etc.

Well gsp has always been on my top 5. along with bj penn, the outlaw hardy. forest was on that list until his fight with silva. anyways, i believe that gsp should atempt it cause it should be an easy gold for the usa if he is fighting for us.
