In movies, writers are often depicted as cat people. I'm not-- I like cats, but I haven't had one since I was little. I'm a dog person instead, and right now I'm typing with my Boston Terrier asleep on my lap (under a blanket). So, do you have cats? Dogs? A goldfish? Birds? Rats? I want to see them! This is my pup, he's just over a year old:

I'm a total dog person too! My mom and brother are allergic so we never had any growing up. Here's my Golden Retriever, Fushigi, sleeping with the presents this past Christmas. XD SO CUTE.

Awww, your lab is afflicted with ETS, too! (Escaped tongue syndrome, heh) Before Miles, we had a greyhound, and she was old and had bad teeth, several had been removed, which meant that pretty much any time she was asleep, her tongue was all over the floor. XD

Aw, your pets are so cute!
This is my puppy, Kasey! (Well, she's not really a puppy, since she's around seven years old, but she'll always be my puppy to me...) She's a Cockapoo.
This was taken during Thanksgiving break '08. She was chilling on the couch.

This was also Thanksgiving break. Or rather, on the car ride back to school. I think she was staring me down.

And this one was taken July '09. She's sitting outside on her 'throne'.

I don't have anything more recent on my computer, but she looks the same. I love her~.

This is Dodger, he died about a year ago. He was my brother's dog. And yes, I tried to get my brother to name him Ian, believe me. XD This is me and Selena, I saved her from an animal hospital, they were going to have to give her up to the pound after her owners abandoned her there. She lives with my mom in California right now, I can't have her here in Jersey. T.T And this is Fushigi, Selena and Dodger all playing tug-o-war. XD

This is Daisy, our schipperke, sitting in a basket of laundry And Mittens, our new kitten. She only looks cute, though. She's really a demon in disguise, lol.

Awww, they're adorable.
Did your dog accept the new kitten yet? How did that go? My husband would love to have a cat, but our dog is kind of a brat, so we aren't sure how well that would go over. And he has buggy eyes, which means having a cat could be a risk to his safety as well.

Thanks. ^_^
We took a couple of weeks to slowly introduce them to each other, since schipperkes were bred to kill small fuzzy things (rats, but the kitten wasn't much bigger when we got her). It turned out okay, though. They get along great now and even play together sometimes, though usually the dog just steals the cat's toys.

I can't believe I only just noticed this thread. I'm a total animal person. I love my babies. <3 I'm so sad I can't have them here with me at university. I miss them so much it's insane. First you have Star. He's Eight years old, golden retriever. Don't you think he's handsome? =B He's our oldest pet right now. We got him right after our old dog died, and he's the most adorable thing ever. Really grumpy and anti-social, but at the same time protective and loving when he feels like it. This is my puss-cat Shadow. He's a bombay. Six years old, and he'll always be my baby. He belongs to me (he was a present from my mum when I was 13). He's actually my best friend ever. Finally we have the newest addition to our family. This is Magic. She's a year and a half old, and a golden retriever like Star. She is quite honestly the funniest thing I've ever seen. She's really exciteable and happy, and has the biggest personality ever. She's certain she's the centre of attention, and still thinks she's a puppy (and LOVES to sit on your knee, no matter how big she gets). She's basically your stereotypical "blonde". All beauty and no brains. =P (This is the most recent photo I have of her, and that's four months old) We also own three Lovebirds, but I don't have any pictures of them.

I love goldens. heart Magic is gorgeous! Makes me want a bigger dog again someday. edward_sledge We took a couple of weeks to slowly introduce them to each other, since schipperkes were bred to kill small fuzzy things (rats, but the kitten wasn't much bigger when we got her). I imagine most will eventually learn to live with each other... well, maybe in the future I'll consider it. Or foster a cat in case it doesn't work out.
