The Na'vi
Na'vi are normally 3 meters in height. Their hands are graceful, with three very long fingers, and one opposed thumb. The fingers curve smoothly, bending without joints. This sounds off-putting, but it is actually quite elegant to lay eyes on. The faces are exquisite, with high cheekbones and large noble yellow eyes, maybe twice the size of an average human's. When open they dominate the face, like those of a cat or lemur. The mouth is also large, but essentially human, with a faint cat-like bifurcation of the upper lip, and a coloration like permanent deep purple lipstick. The teeth are white, with pronounced canines, upper and lower. The species do obviously eat meat, but they are assumed to be generally omnivourous.
They have a tail which is long and slightly prehensile, but more like the tail of a panther than a monkey. A complex pattern of iridescent dots and lines, perfectly symmetrical, runs over the body, almost following the lines of the nervous or circulatory system. These are bioluminescent chromatophores, and they glow in the dark like fireflies. The alien can communicate with these, and in fact they usually are shifting and changing color to indicate mood and emotion, without conscious control. The ears of the Na'vi are long and pointed. The body has no hair whatsoever, though there is what looks like a black pony tail, or queue, originating in the back of the head and hanging down almost to the waist. This is not hair, but actually an external part of the nervous system that allows them to tap into the collective, planetary psionic emanations of Eywa, enabling them to "commune" with the planet's flora and fauna.
On the whole, Na'vi are similar to humans, both in appearance and anatomically. They are, however, much larger and typically stronger than humans; this may be in part to Pandora's lower gravity, which after a time will cause a person to "get soft" as Colonel Quaritch put it. The Na'vi nervous system is also more complex; while not adding to intelligence or sensory reception, it allows them to "link up" with Pandoras animals and plant life.

I understand that disagreements arise, but be respectful about it.Dedication – Don’t join and leave; I tend to take that pretty personally. Hawnu The Protecter.
Pandora.
The home of a great number of beautiful and strange creatures. The home of a cycle, a cycle of balance. Hawnu Looked out over the land of Pandora, a faint smile adorned her lips, she sat upon her Ikran, Txoan as her watchful eyes scanned everything around her and above. She was a protector of the new Hometree and she would give her life and more to defend it. Hawnu lightly patted Txoan’s long neck lovingly as she asked him to slowly walk along the tree’s limb they were perched on. He happily obeyed, walking with Hawnu humming on his back, she need to always move around the Hometree and above it to look for danger of the Skypeople who she was sure was not even there and not going to come back.
Wanted to leave the protection of the concealing leaves of her home, Hawnu asked her Ikran to fly up to the sky above the new Hometree for a while. Enthusiastically he agreed, wanting to stretch his wings and get the freedom that only being in the air could bring. Txoan spread his large wings as Hawnu griped onto his flowing mane, reading herself for the flight, a large smile found itself upon her lips and her beloved Txoan beat his wings and thrust the two of them into the air. Weaving through the canopy and up into the sky above, both Hawnu and Txoan made sounds of joy as they sat in the air for only seconds before spiraling above the Hometree.
Hawnu laughed gleefully as she flew, her eyes closed in content as they flew together. Hawnu and her Ikran continued to fly together for quite some time before they dived back down into the lush canopy of the Hometree, landing on one of it’s think limbs. Hawnu slid off Txoan’s back and fondly stroked his face and neck, Hawnu said farewell to her Ikran, before descending the Hometree, down to the roots that connected to the ground. Once there, she moved about, her eyes dancing from face to face, as she hunted down her mother.

R o b e r t . C o v e l l a ;; ___________________________________________________________ The buzz of electricity was lingering in the air this morning, a male standing by a glass window taking a notice in every small change or occurrence that took place in the room. “Are you sure that it’s needed? I mean…the last time the Avatar’s were called into use - it didn’t end so well.” There was a grunt of annoyance from behind the brunette, his eyes flickering to the reflection of the general on the clean glass. He looked annoyed, Rob wondered what died in order for the man to make such a face. “Yes, Dr. Covella. You want your samples you play by our rules.” Well, it seemed logical enough however this still failed to answer a few key questions - like how he was going to get the collections back inside and other small arguments. That was until her realized they’d send people out to do these jobs.
Plan B was ruined, Robert Covella letting out a sigh of defeat as he turned back to the uptight general. “Fine, you win. The minute we touch the ground though you cut the engines off of those…things. Don’t want to scare the wild life into attacking. Again.” The scientist let out a laugh, though the man opposite him did nothing of the sort. This caused an awkward silence to form inside the lab before Robert attempted to redeem himself once more. “Right, well, I best get situated if we plan on getting this done.” They exchanged nods, Rob turning to a coworker and flashing the only thing he could think of: a sarcastic thumbs up and a disgruntled walk towards the mechanical…mind…transferring machines. It wasn’t that he disliked the Na’vi people nor his avatar, it was the feeling of waking up in a new place after closing your eyes in another. To feel so alien in what was supposed to be your skin, that you end up hitting your head against light post after light post.
His lean frame slid into position, pulling the metal contraption over his chest before relaxing back against the green gelatin-like pad. “Alright, launch away John.” Robert directed, the casket-like case closing over his head as he allowed his mind to go ‘blank’.
--krr skip --
“Oi! Watch it with the tail!” Rob looked down at a soldier with his hand up at his head, turning from this sight to see the blue extension silently flickering behind him. “Watch your head.” He responded simply, shrugging his shoulders back before allowing a grin to cross his face. They had landed in a prime section to grab samples of the flora - the ‘copter waiting off in the distance as he took a giant step forwards towards the nearest vine. As he touched it, the rope like material was retracted upwards towards the tree branches. This was a prime example of what fascinated him about the planet, how everything remained luminescent in nature or managed to replenish within a short period of time. Now if only he could figure out how to take this planet’s secret and work it into Earth… "You almost done here?" The soldier piped up, watching the Avatar through bored eyes. Rob nodded before reaching up to a branch and pulling his body upwards. "Wait for me down there, I'll be only a few minutes."
Though that was a lie, Robert planned on taking his sweet time getting up the tree, see the sights to be seen, and then climb back down.

Hawnu The Protecter.
Hawnu found her mother alone. She was praying to Eywa, asking for protection and strength.
When she approached, her mother sorrowfully responded, by greeting her with a sad "welcome home, my child". A pang of fear struck in Hawnu's chest, what was wrong? she was afraid, afraid for her mother, her friends, her people, afraid for Eywa. She opened her mouth to speak to her.
"Kaltxì mother... What is wrong? Why do you pray? "
She asked in her light voice. When she asked this, however, her mother turned to face her. She then began to recount to her all of her teachings when she was still a young girl.
As she continued to babble on, Hawnu was explained that she wanted her to go investigate out side the Hometree and up into the sky above. She explained how she felt that something was not right with Eywa, and her children were endanger.
The fear in Hawnu's heart grew. Her mother was strongly connected with Eywa and she always believed what her mother believed and said was true.
With no words passed between mother and child, and fearful questions wanting to be ask but not, Hawnu obeyed her mothers’ wishes and left her, climbing the Hometree to call Txoan again. Once more, the pair took wing and flew high up into the sky above.

R o b e r t . C o v e l l a ;; ___________________________________________________________ Robert reached the top of the tree with ease, narrowly avoiding a cluster of hellfire wasps and ignoring the burning sensation in his arms. These were alive, the bodies that was, if he stretched muscles or pushed himself too hard, he would feel its effect on him almost immediately. Though as he’d noticed before, pain mixed with the Na’vi DNA didn’t last too long.
He held onto a branch, leaning outwards to see the horizon just above the tall collection of trees. Robert let out a laugh, just to listen to it echo about the place (and ultimately scare a family of prolemuris out of their homes, something he instantly cringed at). Gold eyes watched them scurry, taking notice of their odd limbs and how they carried themselves away. “Ah, right, leaf.” His attentions turned abruptly to the vine above his head, cutting it with a knife and examining the sap that appeared. To say that he was shocked just didn’t seem to capture his full amazement with the material that appeared. It glowed. Florescent plants? Now this was something he didn’t expect to come across.
He spun open a clean vile and bagged a sample of the tree, both part of the wine he had snipped and the sugar/food/sap that had appeared. With this task completed, Rob gathered his belongings and made his way back down to the ground. “You done yet?” A voice greeted him as he hopped down the last few feet. Robert looked down at the man, seeming to think about the question. “Not even close.” Robert responded with a chuckle, looking away only when the sound of rustling caught his attention. Of course the male below him couldn’t hear it, but whatever was coming was running at an alarmingly fast rate.
“Move. Move!” Robert practically picked up the male, running towards an area that was covered up by much more brush - easy to hide in. They both watched as a herd shot by, the bull like creatures not bothering to stop for anything in their path. “Sturmbeest.” The Avatar sighed, happy to see that it wasn’t a predator. The man near him scoffed. “I know what they are.” To which Robert felt himself arch a brow. He didn’t argue or attempt a sarcastic remark this time around, instead looking back at the trampled path they’d been standing in just moments prior. Something had spooked that herd, and he didn’t want to stick around to see what it was. “C’mon, we should head back.” Robert spoke up after sighing..

Hawnu The Protecter.
Flying towards the base of the humans known as 'Hells Gate' Hawnu noticed something that was both Awe-inspiring and shocking. There were the metal beings, rising from the ground, and the noisy birds arriving from the sky. It was true, and confirmed the Na'vi's greatest fear, the sky people had come back to Pandora.
As of such, the Na'vi forced her Ikran to fly through the trees, before stopping two kilometers away. She asked her Ikran to wait for her there, hidden in the trees. It did, and Hawnu was left to approach the Sky People Base. Hwanu moved around the gray metalic area, as she noticed the pink fleshed beings begin to set up a perimeter. Her golden eyes widened lightly as she stayed just out of site, her bow strung, and prepared to send one of the many lethal darts she carried into the chest of one of the Sky People.
Her trekking was silent, only another Na'vi warrior would've been able to detect her, as she moved. She was low to the ground, almost like a cat, hunched over. Preparing to pounce. To move. And she did. The moment she saw a break, she dashed into the remains of the Sky people compound, her eyes moving from being to being, all unaware, and having their attention taken by the task at hand. Never the less, Hawnu took advantage of this, as her curiosity peeked. She wanted to see if they had hands like her People. And what she saw shocked her. They had not four fingers, but five! She was slightly similar to them, Apart from the size difference. She had whites in her eye, like they did. But their eyes where so small. Her fingers, were knuckled and boned like theirs, even her feet were probably similar. Struck to her core by the new discovery, Hawnu forced herself to leave, just as silently as she had come, unaware if someone might have seen her passing back into the woods on her escape route.

 L'rengi ___________(Lrrei)
L'rengi rested on a high tree branch with a good view of the area about him. At his height, he blended well with the luminescent wildlife around him. However, the flash of steel or the careless disturbing of the local plant life would be easily recognizable. His ikran rested uneasily beside him. "Easy..." He said while petting her neck gently. He reached out to share his large fruit with her. She quickly ate it, before L'rengi could stop her. "Okay then..." He said, laughing a bit. He stood up. "I guess we're going." He linked with his ikran. The two, now one of them leaped off of the branch. He let out a whoop as they flew between the trees. He curved up, dashing through a hole in the forest canopy to get a clear view of the overarching area. He saw a slight glimpse of something not built by the Na'vi. Despite his desire to see it, he knew he needed to go back. He banked a hard right, and headed back towards hometree.

Hawnu The Protecter.
Fleeing from the Sky peoples bass, Hawnu swiftly ran through the trees and undergrowth back to Txoan so she could report her findings to her mother. Upon finding her beloved Ikran still waiting patiently for her, Hawnu walked to him and lovingly stroked his long neck, whispering praise to him. Hawnu mounted txoan and linked their queues together as she asked him to fly back to the Hometree. “Let us go, Txoan…” The pair flew straight back to the new Hometree and dived in amongst its lush canopy to the branches below. Txoan neatly weaved his way through the think vines and branches to land of a fairly thick limb of the tree near the forest floor. Gracefully sliding of her Ikran for yet the second time that day, Hawnu patted Txoan and nuzzled her head to his neck “I’ll see you again soon, my brother, Txoan” The Ikran let out a sound from deep in it’s throat as a farewell as Hawnu swung down the thick vines to inform her mother of what was happening.

 L'rengi ___________(Lrrei)
L'rengi took a long moment, explaining the maneuver to his ikran. Shortly after, the two dove through a small break in the trees. L'rengi broke his link, and took a moment to pet his ikran. She dove down, then cut right. He leaped off of her back, and dove to grab a vine, but it vanished from his sight, as Hawnu disturbed itit from a lower point. He glided right past it. Pxasik!" He took a moment to look about frantically, before finding a backup plan. He reached out quickly to grab a thin, smooth branch coming down from a tree. Using the resistance of the branch, he redirected himself onto a large leaf. The leaf slowed his fall, allowing him to land deftly on a larger branch towards the bottom of the tree. He lept down again, landing on lower and lower platforms until he managed to land on the ground. "I see you!" He called out to Hawnu. "But I would ask for the same favor, in return..."
