The Castle Library out numbers even the Great Library found in the Air nation. It is a large circular room that goes up about two stories, the walls are completely lined with book shelves that are bulging with knowledge college from the great monarchs of all the ages. There is a ladder on either side of the room with wheels on the bottom to slide it back and forth to reach the different titles. In the middle of the room there is a large chair and large desk. The ceiling has a mural of a rain storm and the floors are tiled and covered with a large rug. However at night even with the aid of candles it is eerily dark in this room, for many of the books house dark secrets that leak out into the living world.

Stel stood in front of the library door. She looked up, marveling at the architecture and design. It was beautiful. After a couple of minutes of marveling, she decided to step in. She'd never been there before but has heard rumors of its beauty. She stopped looking at the cieling and the beauty, remembering why she came. Stel was here to learn more about each of the elements. She walked over to a random side of the large bookcases, examining the old covers. It'd take more than a hundred years to read all of it, she had all day. "May as well start looking now." She picked up one book after another, information piling in her arms.

In the middle of the room Ashe had been lounging on the large arm chair, she had been reading a large volume of ancient incantations. Normally she would have gotten up to great Stel, but as the girl hadn't noticed her presence decided to remain where she sat. "You're here early Stel. Welcome to my home." Her feet draped over the side of the chair in a relaxed position. She held her place on the page with her finger as she looked up to look at Stel. "So what interests you today? Personally I am very fascinated by containment spells and other such protections. Not like there's a lot I haven't read or helped to write."

Orin stepped into the Library, not really sure what to be doing before the royal ball, but confident he would'nt be in the wrong by seeking knowledge. He noticed the two woman already in the labrary, one with a good amount of large volumes in her arms, and the other sitting in a comfortable looking chair, and had on a large flowing dress, and by the sheer amounts of power circling her, she must be the queen. He looked back at the shelves, and took out a medium sized book, titled "Ter Gavir di Darasvi", or "The Order of Half-Dragons". He let out a small smile, and heard within himself, CYRUS HAS BEEN WRITTING BOOKS ABOUT THE ORDER? He ignored the voice and flipped open to the history of half dragons, hoping his close friend had included him.

Ashe rose from her seat shortly after Orin arrived. She placed her book back on the shelf and walked over. "You have a very strange expression on your face sir." She said nonchalantly, perhaps it was from his small inner communications, not that she knew they existed. "That book's quiet a read. You may borrow it if you like." She didn't know if he knew who she was, and she truly did not care at that moment. She had to go and get ready, after all, she was the hostess and the night was almost here.
[exit to the nothingness until guests start arriving I guess]

Orin was surprised that the Queen had noticed his small smile, and said to her, "Thank you. I will be sure to bring it back as soon as I finish." The queen seemed pleased by his responce, and she left without another word, probably to ready herself for the ball. He tucked the book in his pack next to his coin sack and the jewel he had picked up at the Flamming Mountians. WE SHOULD GET TO THE BALLROOM. IF THE QUEEN IS READYING HERSELF, THEN TIME IS GROWING SHORT. He quickly glanced at Stel, still struggling with her books, and stepped from the library heading for the ballroom.

Stel peered over at Ashe from the side of her mountain. "Hello your highness. I hope my early arrival wont be an inconvenience for you. Oh, I'm just looking up different information about our hisotry. Nothing you need to worry about." She tried her best to balance the books so they wouldn't fall. There was no response. Stel sat the books down on a neighboring table and looked around for Ashe. She was gone. She shrugged. Her glance flicked towards Odin's leaving form and sighed. The ball was going to begin soon. "I guess I shall have to wait until afterwards." Stel smiled sadly at her pile of books and left the room to get ready, leaving her mountain alone to collect dust until next time she has time to look.

After a fairly brief trip through the castle's gloomy halls, Kel found the doors to the Library. Standing in front of them, he pushed one door slightly open and gazed in before leaning back and letting it fall shut. "Well that was easy enough to find. Here we are, Maryl. Your new job awaits."
Seth gave Maryl a quick hug and a pat on the shoulder, "Good luck... well wait.", Seth trailed off briefly remembering what had actually happened, "This is just a transfer, you allready have the job so uh. Have a good day at work." She smiled.

"Thanks for walking me here," Maryl smiled cheerfully. She had to put some of the troubling things of the morning behind her so she could concentrate. "I should be off of work around five. I'll see you then." Giving Kel and Seth a gentle wave goodbye, Maryl turned and entered the library quietly and approached the main desk, holding up her old great library tag.

Kel waited a moment for the door to shut then thought for a moment. Slowly, he turned his head till he looked down directly at Seth. "So, how much time do you have until you have to be to the union?."
"As long as I show up some time this week." Seth shrugged, "Okay, who goes to see what tower?" She turned to face her father directly and shifted to a more relaxed stance. "How about rock, paper, scissors? Winner goes to the light tower." She suggested.
"Okay."
Kel raised his left hand to shoot as did Seth her right. They counted in unison and shook their fists for one, two, three, shoot. Kel had chosen paper with a flat hand. Seth picked scissors
"Scissors cuts paper." Seth said mildly claiming victory.
"Okay, lets meet back in an hour." Kel said as he turned and began heading down the hall in the direction of the tower of darkness. "Be careful."
"Sounds good. You too, dad." Seth nodded and turned to head in the opposite direction for the tower of light.

As per work detail, Maryl spent the majority of her morning going over the index system and proper handling of books that were taken off the shelves. The latter was put to use immediately afterward. Maryl frowned at the fairly tall stack of books taken down and stacked up on a table. Glancing down the bindings of each book seemed to show that someone was interested in elements. This wasn't terribly surprising, but perhaps they didn't get to return to them in time. Splitting the stack into halves, Maryl put each half of the stack onto the cart to reorganize them and return them to the shelves.

Maryl stumbled feeling a slight shake in the ground. At first she felt a bit embarrassed to just wobble like that but seeing as the tables shook and some books fell, she quickly figured out that it wasn't just her. Maryl sighed and went to collect the books that were jarred from their position. The low light was a bit creepy and unsettling but with the sudden shake even creepier. Quietly, Maryl climbed the ladder to put away books that fell from the high shelves first.

Activity was low in the library today. Maryl sat on the edge of the second floor, flipping through a book about the mystery element with the rays of a window to illuminate the pages. Her supervisor hadn't stated that browsing on the job was against the rules, and back at the great library other staff members did this all the time. Even the old man wizard might be seen flipping through pages in the aisles. Maryl was in plain view, swinging her legs from the edge of the platform so someone would have noticed by now. She was lost within the pages of the book. It felt like she might have never known these things if life had happened differently up to this point, and made her want to hold onto every word as she flipped to the next page.
