New Original Video Animation announced. http://www.ova-tos.comThe game I first played of the series was Symphonia. That was over a year ago... Ever since, I hunted down quite a few of the games, I've only been able to play two others so far (Eternia and Phantasia), but I played Symphonia first. Now that I look at it, compared to the other games, it's not as great as we all think, but for most, we started with THIS game, this game got us into the series. So this thread is to talk about Symphonia, and all of it's inhabinants and the like. Enjoy.

Phantasia was my first. Go me!(?) 3nodding Symphonia got me interested in the series again though. Before then I had but the one ROM and not the knowledge that more existed.

The opposite for Exselsor then. xD I think. Played an older one without any knowledge of other Tales games. xD
Anyway, not my first, but I like it anyway. A lot of the scenes reminds me of scenes from Phantasia, such as the part where Lloyd and Colette are talking in Flanoir (of course that depends on your relationship status with her lol but it's very much like the scene with Cless and Mint in Ary, nonetheless. ^-^

Of course, like pretty much everyone else, Tales Of Symphonia was my first. -_-; ...But of course it was, anyway! None of the other Tales games have even been released in Canada. I had to buy Tales Of Destiny II (Eternia) off eBay, and I'll probably have to do the same to get Tales Of Destiny. (I don't know if the Gameboy Advance Tales Of Phantasia and Tales Of Legendia are going to be available for me though...) So. Really. The only reason I bought Tales Of Symphonia was because it looked like a neat, fun anime game. I was feeling lucky; and bold; and not to mention, I was just plain bored of all of my other games that I've way beyond over-played. So I randomly took it off the shelf at the Super Store and bought it for $29.50. xD Probably it caught my eye because it was fairly cheap, too. Anyway... After playing Symphonia a million times, I started... like... studying where the the trio from the Meltokio Coliseum came from. I learned there were more Tales games, and I liked that martial artist girl with the green hair and orange dress. >-<; You know who I mean, don't even ask why. xD So then I finally bought Tales Of Destiny II in November, after when I got Tales Of Symphonia on June 27th. OMG STORY~!

For me it started with that i happened to find a translated rom of ToP, so i downloaded and i loved the game. I wanted more so i searched and found ToD and ToE. But before i considered buying any of them ToS came out (bout 1 year after i had began playing ToP), since my little brother had a GC, i bougt TiS directly when it was released and started playin. Now ive got my hands on ToD and ToE too (i got ToE first, im about to go to the last battle in the game now. I bought ToD newly, so i havent got to far yet). And im tryin to learn japaneese now so that i can play ToP to the PS, ToF, TotwSL, ToD2. I must play them all!!!
Im also one of those who believe ToS is a prequel to ToP. Its obvious! whee (it was fun meeting Farah, Meredy and Garr in Colloseum, but i havent managed to defeat them yet, i hate training. I never trained once through the whole game and now its time to suffer... I wouldve been possible if just Presea would stick to Meredy and stopping her instead of running around and trying to protect Raine al the time, but oh no she just have to help her, and whats more, she fails completely in protecing her too. Raine gets damaged and Garr stays unharmed, and then Meredy casts Freeze Lancer. I really need a player 2 that could play Presea.... then Llyod should take Farah, just use a Tiger Blade combo and she never gets the chance to attack at all, arrgh! Dammit Preseaaaaa!!!!!!!!) (if u have played ToP and then play ToS or the opposite, many places feel pretty familiar right?)

I was replying to your thing about the "Need someone who can use Presea as a second player," but I have only done it with a group of Lloyd, Genius/Zelos/Kratos, Refill. I never got around to doing it with any other combinations

Tales of Symphonia was my first Tales game and I got into the series as well. I think it's contagious. ANyway, I'm trying to get a copy of ToD and ToE to play with ym friends. I've betten the game 2wice. Both times I played with my siblings (I have 3) and now I've gotten my friends into it but we're having trouble on Yuan and Botta. While playing with my friends, we sometimes mess around in the menu which caused EX Gems to go to the wrong person and we accidently set the level from Normal to Mania and didn't realize until we lost to Volt about 20 times. xd

I love the tales of series ever since.
2-D character is really cute heart
tales of symphonia is my 4th tales of seires game.
I think its really awesome.
The U-attack? was it called, I love that. biggrin

I love it when I am using against some boss and beat the boss with it. like, the boss dying after I used the unison attack. biggrin

ToS was the third tales game i played. to tell the truth, i really hated it for a long time. but then i got addicted to it, and sense then i've played it through 3 times. sweatdrop i really like how you can choose which character will be lloyd's best friend. ^^ the second time i played the game through, i worked my butt off to get the flanoir scene with zelos. if i play the game through again i think i'll try for raine or sheena. xd
