Hey there, hope everyone is fine this evening.

Well, as the title for the topic suggests, it's about Phil Vassar. Ya see, I'm going to see him in Verona, NY on February 18th. But, I'm not really going to see him -- I'm going for Aaron Lines who is opening for him. In any case, I am going to a Phil Vassar concert and I know of one Phil Vassar song, Another Day In Paradise.

I'm looking to make a new CD via PureTracks (download songs AND pay the artists) and I thought of checking out a Phil Vassar song or two while I'm there. Any suggestions since I will never be able to narrow it down to one or two myself?

'That's When I Love You' is a good one.

Thank you. I will look into that one as well.

Also, has anyone seen him live? I imagine he would be good but I'm curious as to whether anyone has actually seen him before.

Haven't heard of Phil Vassar, though Phil Collins does a nice "Another Day in Paradise". Not really a country song, though.

Doesn't he also sing 'Just Another Day in Paradise'? I forgot how it goes though.

Due to my broke-ness I didn't get the chance to use PureTracks prior to yesterdays concert. I wasn't too in to Phil though. He has tons of energy and sounds really good. It was entertaining but I just wasn't feeling it. My mom and I left when he walked off the stage, knowing he would be back for the encore. I probably wouldn't see him again unless Aaron Lines was there again. biggrin there's one song on his new album and I think it's called "Old Black and Whites" or something, and it was really nice!

"the kids screamin
the phone ringin
dog barkin at the mailmain bringing
that stack of bills overdue
well good mornin baby how are you?
got a half hour
quick shower
take a drink of milk but the milk's gon sour
my funny face makes you laugh
twist the top on and i put it back.
there goes the washing machine
baby dont kick it
promise ill fix it
along about a million other things

well it ok
so nice.
just another day in paradise
where theres no place id rather be.
two hearts
one dream
wouldnt trade it for anything
and i ask the lord every night
oooh, for just another day in paradise!"

You have no idea how happy I am to see that "Carlene" is your favorite song by him. I have loved that song forever, but most people I know only know of song like "I''ll Take That as a Yes" or his new one thats also very good, "Good Ole Days." That song just sounds like summer I think. I''ve seen Phil in concert several times, including before he was famous, and I''ve always thought he was great. The best one was at fan fair though, he was amazing then. Oh well, to each their own opinion on music. I''ll always think he is great unless the rest of his songs turn out to be like "I''ll Take That as a Yes." That one just gets on my nerves.

I like I'll take that as a yes because it is so layed back and it is a all around good song to relax to. I also like American Child, and Just another day in Paradise.

I like most of the songs of his I've heard, so far. His Greatest Hits CD is very good.

"American Child" is one of my favorite songs.
