WARNING! Kinda descript here
I've been on the pill a bit over a year now. My last period was no longer the,erm... crimson red that most period blood is. It was a brown-ish color, and not nearly as heavy. Should I be concerned about this? Could this be a side effect of my bc?

Periods do vary in terms of how long they last, how heavy they are, and what color they are. They can vary from woman to woman and even from month to month, whether you're on birth control or not. It's usually nothing to worry about and is just a natural variation. However, light or short periods can also be a sign of pregnancy, so you can take a pregnancy test if you're unsure or you can call your doctor and ask about it.

AshyKitty WARNING! Kinda descript hereI've been on the pill a bit over a year now. My last period was no longer the,erm... crimson red that most period blood is. It was a brown-ish color, and not nearly as heavy. Should I be concerned about this? Could this be a side effect of my bc? What Lorien said could be a possibility for you. However, my period got lighter on BC that I started 4 months ago also. My gyno said that that was fine and I read that it was normal elsewhere. I have not had sex yet so I'm not preggers either. Since BC regulates hormones, it may have changed your hormones to change the blood flow of your period. heart

Brown period is very normal because once you had a regular period for a few days, and after that, the leftovers became brownish. It doesnt means you are pregancy
