Eggnog (alcoholic, of course!) sprinkled lightly with cinnamon and garnished with sprigs of mint. Hot cocoa with whipped cream and Bacardi coconut rum. Good, red port wine. And something my sister thought up, a kind of apple juice/champagne mix. Coronas with lime (Standard Puerto Rican Issue xd ). Not to mention my mom's fiance's favorite brandy, brought with him straight from the Dominican Republic. These are types of drinks you'll find around my house at Christmastime.
Are there any drinks which are a tradition to your family and friends when the holidays arrive?

Brandy is my one.
Then again, I always drink brandy.
Christmas is just another excuse..

Cider...it's the only thing I drink, so any excuse really.
I do rather enjoy the smell of a good mulled wine, especially when mingled with that of cold masonry. I have no idea why, but it is the only reason I attend the midnight service at the village church when we are in Yorkshire for Christmas.

Mmmmm, I can imagine that -- a sharp contract between bright, bitter cold air and stone; and the fruity, warm fermented scent of spiced wine. Sounds like comfort to me, and a treat for all five senses.

Jack Daniel's Old Time No. 7 Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey.
Not really a Christmas tradition, but I did get to go home on leave from the Army for Christmas, so me and my original drinking buddies, Elijah and Kyle, got together and split a fifth of Jack Daniel's, just for old time's sake. As the night progressed, we then split a fifth of Crown Royal whiskey. In all, Crown Royal is definitely a smoother and finer whiskey, but for us, Jack Daniel' has been, and always shall be, our drink.

confused ^_^; I t'ink it's Canadian in origin. Easy enough to get in New York, if a bit on the expensive side (for an entry level mook, anyhow. . . xd ).

No. Frankly it disgusts me how few non-drinkers there are. But then, I do live in Essex.

But then granted, I don't know if that sort of middle-ground really exists in Essex.
