I last talked to my husband on December 31st, 2009.
January 2nd and 3rd he was calling my Grandmother's house, but I was out with friends, and didn't get to talk to him. On the 5th and 6th I tried calling him, but no answer. On the 7th I looked up his mothers' number and called her to see if he heard from him. She said no, she had been out of contact for 3 days, that he wasn't even online- and he's always online. On January 7th, 2010, I had his father check up on him. He (and the police he had to have accompany him to enter the house) found him dead on the floor.
He died at age 30 because he did not take care of his diabetes properly.
He tested rarely, and drank heavily, as well as eating whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. I am beside myself and don't know who to talk to, I just figured i'd leave a message here. This is a good reason to take care of yourself- so you don't have to leave loved ones behind.
