Since this is probably a new system to some of you/us, I'm making this so that people can figure out the rolling system, etc.

~Skill System~

Using a Skill



Although many skills require a specified number to be successful and/or useful, most will work like this.
To use a skill you must roll a dice; you then play off the number you get. When you respond to a post, in your options you can select "Choose an Action". You want "Roll A Dice", so then you select a six sided die and roll only ONE die.

Actions follow these criteria, unless specified otherwise:

Rolling a 1-2: Complete Fail. Action does not work.
Rolling a 3-4: Works, but there is recoil or it isn't very affective
Rolling a 5-6: Success. Action works as desired.

~Skill System~

Skill Types

There are different classification for various types of skills. Below are listings of the Skill Types.


MAGICKS


White Mage:
White Magick skills are used for defense and healing. You cannot learn White Magick skills if you learn Necromancy skills or Dark Magick skills.

Black Mage:
Black Magick Skills are element-based offensive attacks. You can't learn them if you learn both Necromancy and Dark Magick Skills, just one or the other.

Dark Sage:
Dark Magick Skills are used to weaken other Players through status ailments. Dark Magick cannot be learned if you have White Magick Skills or Summoning Skills and cannot be learned if you have both Black Magick and Necromancy Skills together.

Necromancer:
Necromancy is the summoning and manipulation of the dead. It can also control animals and people. Necromancy can only be used when you have a tuned musical instrument. It cannot be learned with White Magick and Summoning. It also cannot be learned if you know both Dark and Black Magick.

Summoner:
Summoning is the power to call great and powerful beings to assist you in your times of need. You may not learn summoning if you know Dark Magick or Necromancy. You are only able to summon four of the Deities, five, if you use a Special Skill to create one.

Geologist:
Geology Skills are used to get through different terrain, such as walking on water and floating a few inches off the air. You may only know SEVEN Geology skills.


COMBAT

You may only take two combat learning paths not including general Melee and General Defense.


General Melee:
General Melee skills are just plain, basic skills that really have no specific classification of weapon.

General Defensive:
Skills that are used for defensive purposes and have no specific classification of weapon.

Dragoon [Lances, Poles, and Halberds]:
Dragoons are the warriors of the sky. They are able to jump high and hover in the air and can deliver long ranged attacks.

Knight [Broadswords]
Knights are well versed in the art of swordplay. They deliver extensive damage.

Ninja/Assassin [Long Daggers and Throwing Knives only]
Members of this class are well versed in the art of silent attacks.

Marksman [Guns]
Sharpshooting and gunplay's the game.

Monk [Bare Hands or Knuckle Attachments]
This class consists of skills of hand to hand combat and general martial arts.

Samurai [Longswords]
Members of this skill class are used to slow movements but can really pack a punch.

Archer [Bows and Arrows]
This class is trained well in the art of the bow.

Soldier [Bolsterswords]
Members of this elite group wield oversized blades.

Dancer [Poles, Instruments Converted to Weapons]
This Skill is based in very aerobic movements.

Reaper [Scythes, Sickles]
These people use mighty tools used for chopping wheat in the fields... (and beheading)...
