Hi everyone- one of my dolls came with a very-colorless face-up, so I intend on re-doing it. My title says pretty much what I need to know- what are some good products I should use to remove a face-up?

Also- what tools should I use to remove in those tricky areas, like the inner lip?

Thank you!

I generally recommend using Windsor and Newtons Acrylic brush cleaner and restorer along with a Mr. Clean Magic eraser (Original). Maybe an old cleaned out tooth brush to get areas like eyes and such.

Generally it's a good idea to stay away from nail polish remover if it's coloured but I've heard good things (I wouldn't experiment personally until I knew for sure), and sometimes people use Acetone but I would definitely steer clear of this if possible because acetone CAN ruin the doll's head or make the resin weak enough to break easily.

I'd say personally to go to a local hobby store and see if they have the windsor and newton's. It's what I always use and it hasn't failed me yet.
