Bluekit wrinkled her nose and shook her coat. The humidity was horrible. It seemed to seep through her fur and cover her in a sticky film. Dovestar was whispering with Ivypool on Highledge. A breeze ruffled her fur and Bluekit jumped why her eyes darted in her direction. Bluekit shifted her gaze to the sky. It drooped and looked just about ready to let loose it's dangerous storm. The camp knew it too, as they were either in dens or in the recesses of camp. Only very few cats were hunting.

Weaselpaw sighed loudly as he pushed his way back into camp with two mice dangling from his jaws, he had a poor day of hunting do to the storm that had yet to hit. The prey were hidden in their dens safe and warm and the ones that ventured out where jumpy and harder to sneak up on. "Bring something to the elders" ordered Pepperfoot as the gray-and-white speckled she-cat padded towards Dovestar and Ivypool, she had to report about the mingling scents of Shadowclan on their territory. She had noticed that their scents are getting closer and closer to camp and she worried of a raiding party attacking.
Mossypaw had settled herself under a thick low hanging bush; her green eyes flickered when she saw Weaselpaw make his way towards that elders den with an annoyed look on his face. She thought of it as an honor to take care of the elderly cats, as well as the queens and wondered why the black-and-cream tom hated it so much.

Dovestar noticed Pepperfoot moving towards her, and hopped down from the ledge. Curling her tail around her paws, she patiently waited for Pepperfoot to close the distance.
Bluekit moved back towards the nursery, but stopped hearing sounds in the medicine cat's den. Jayfeather stormed out, grumbling, and left camp. Starlingsong followed, her sea-grean eyes sparked with worry.
"What happened?" Bluekit questioned moving closer to the apprentice medicine cat.
"I tried talking Jayfeather into retiring. He refuses to move into the elders den with Lionblaze though." her face was wistful.
It was obvious she wanted to take on an apprentice of her own.
"Have you talked to Dovestar?" Bluekit questioned.
"Yes. But she doesn't want to have to order him. Say he's too stuborn and old to listen." Starlingsong blinked and looked down at Bluekit, "Isn't she supposed to have you and your siblings apprentice ceremony today?"
Bluekit nodded, "I think she will put it off until after the storm though."
"Oh. Well if you'll excuse me, I better go find Jayfeather. It was good talking to you, Bluekit." And with that Starlingsong left camp.
Alderpaw sat close to the entrance of he apprentice's den. She could see Weaselpaw across the hollow, taking food to the elders. Her eyes lingered on him and she wished he would come talk to her. But that was wishful thinking. She looked up suddenly to spot Snowpaw's shining face.
"Hi Alderpaw!" he chimed.

Pepperfoot greeted Doverstar with a respectful dip of her head "Good evening, Dovestar" she began calmly. Her eyes gave away her worry as she crouched before her leader "I took Weaselpaw out the hunt; and we detected more signs of shadowclan hunting in are territory, closer to camp this time" she pointed out calmly.
Weaselpaw nimbly slipped into the elders den; Lionblaze greeted him with a friendly purr "Hello again young Weaselpaw" his ginger fur was sleeked back from being groomed. Weaselpaw placed three mice before him "Here" he mewed calmly wanting to get out of there "I have to go finsh my job up" he admited and watched the elderly toms face change slightly "Okay; best of luck to you than" Weaselpaw turned tail and padded quickly from the den and carefully padded down the steep hill side. lifting his eyes he scanned the camp clearing and spotted Alderpaw, Snowpaw and than Mossypaw wondering who he should go to than decided agasint everything and padded towards Snowpaw "Hello" he mewed friendly. Mossypaw watched the tom pad away and sighed sadly feeling alone until she spotted Bluepaw; getting to her paws she bounded to the younger she-cat "Hello Bluepaw" she greeted.

"It's not Bluepaw yet! I will be though, if this storm ever gets over with." Bluekit pouted.
Alderpaw saw Weaselpaw heading in her direction, but her hope faded when he steered towards Snowpaw.
Snowpaw flicked his ear in annoyance. The last thing he needed was Weaselpaw over here when he was trying to talk to Alderpaw.
Dovestar narrowed her eyes then sighed.
"ShadowClan has been quite persistant in the past moon. I cannot blame them though, for their territory is flooding because of the rain. They are in the same position as RiverClan."

Pepperfoot sighed "I know. I just worry that they will attack are camp" she thought about it almost all the time. "They should mind how far they wander into are camp" she pointed out anger in her gentle voice.
Weaselpaw's eyes narrowed at Snowpaw before he faced Alderpaw "How is your day going Alderpaw?" his voice was calm and slightly angery with the response he had gotten from Snowpaw. Mossypaw smiled "Calm down" she mewed calmly to Bluekit "It'll be over soon" she wondered if it would pass herself.

"I understand your concern, Pepperfoot. I will have a word with Scorchstar at the Gathering tomorrow. That's the most I can do unless we catch them on our territory stealing prey." Dovestar spoke to her warrior.
She needed to speake to Honeyfrost.
Bluekit smiled.
"Your always so nice to me Mossypaw."
"Hey quit hogging her Bluekit!" a dark brown spotted tom said jumping on the small bluish kit before smiling up at Mossypaw.
"Get off Timberkit!" Bluekit hissed.
"Great!" Alderpaw purred.
Her heart was beating against her ribcage so hard she was surprised neither tom reacted.

Pepperfoot blinked slowly "Okay; thank you Dovestar" she stood and padded away to rest outside of the warriors den where Antleg and Honeyfrost sat sharing tounges. "Hows it going?" she mewed a greeting. Antleg smiled to her "Good; and you?" the tom replied, Honeyfrost looked lazily at the she-cat with respect and friendship in her eyes.
Mossypaw smiled amused at the two kits; she reached her head foward and rasped the dark brown spotted tom between the ears and nudged Bluekit back to her paws "Its good to see two so closely bonded" she admited giving them both a brillent smile.
Weaselpaw slowly flicked his tail to the side "Thats good to hear" he than smiled; playfully flicking his tail over Snowpaw's ears "Would someone like to share prey with me?" the tom asked coolly.

Dovestar called out to her deputy before climbing to her den. It was more private there.
Bluekit flicked her ears annoyingly at her brother, but said nothing.
Timberkit laughed and gave Bluekit a good natured shove before smiling and saying goodbye to both she cats.
Snowpaw grunted in response, and turned to get some prey.

Honeyfrost yawned and stood wondering when the storm would break as she made her way to the hill and scarmbled after Dovestar. "Yes?" she mewed respectfully to her leader before taking a seat and wrapping her tail around her front paws.
Pepperfoot took a seat next to Antleg who was nodding off, she watched Timberkit pad away from Mossypaw and Bluepaw.
Mossypaw purred as she flicked her tail "Can't wait tell you join the apprentices den" she mewed truthfully.
Weaselpaw watched the tom leave and turned to Alderpaw "Finally, I catch you alone" he purred and rolled his eyes amused.

Alderpaw's tail curled happily.
"Want to go for a walk? I'm sure Snowpaw won't miss us."
"Thanks. Hopefully I will be soon. I'm gonna go take a nap now though." Bluekit said dismissing herself to the older apprentice.
"I want our patrols along the ShadowClan border doubled. Pepperfoot has reported multiple times that they've crossed the border. No signs of stolen prey though. I'm going to have a word with Scorchstar at the Gathering tomorrow, but until then I want every warrior to know that any scent or sightings must be reported directly to me." Dovestar said strictly.

Weaselpaw smiled thinking about how the tom would react "Okay; come on than" he flicked his ears to allow the she-cat to lead the way. He prefered for other cats the lead him when he was in a calm mood wondering where Alderpaw liked to go the most.
Honeyfrost nodded slightly "I'll alert the warriors right away" she stood and dipped her head "Thank you Dovestar" with that the she-cat swiftly left Dovestar's den and towards the warriors den to alert the others to what Dovestar has ordered.
Mossypaw dipped her head and yawned boardly before she padded towards the apprentices den; eyeing Weaselpaw and Alderpaw with amusment on her face that vanished when she saw Snowpaw at the fresh-kill pile and wondered what he thought of Alderpaw.

Alderpaw went to her favorite part of the territory, the lake. She loved the way the wind rippled off the surface making tiny waves. The way time didn't seem to pass, and how the colors of the setting sun lit the lake ablaze. It would be a perfect spot for her to take Weaselpaw. BUt as she neared the lake things changed and she began to feel uncomfortable. A grove of bushes was set between her and the shore, so she hurried through them, only to suddenly be immersed in water.
Dovestar moved out of her den and continued to carefully watch the camp.

Weaselpaw watched Alderpaw disappear into the bushs and wondered where she had gone "Alderpaw?" he mewed amused. He thought she was playing a game with him so he pushed himself through the bush to find the water with a loud yowl of confusion and fear.
Pepperfoot sighed "I can't believe shadowclan!" she spat to her friends who mewed there agreements. Antleg unleashed his claws "If they stray to far and come along my path, I'll give them some good scars to remeaber me by!" the ginger tom looked confadently at Honeyfrost who rejoined them "Dovestar wants double patrols around Shadowclans boaders; and if any of you find any signs of them report to her at once" she watched Pepperfoots and Antlegs faces harden "We will spread the word" antleg promised, Pepperfoot nodded with her agreement.
