Question's:
Do you use a mic?
Do you like being able to talk to each other via mic with out typing?
Or, do you think its a waste of time and typing is just as easy?
What are your opinions on using the Vox thingyy to talk to your friends?
What do you use to talk? A mic, or a webcam, or a headset, ect, ect.
My thoughts: I love it. My computer is old and sometimes my screen freezes and I like that even though my screen is frozen I can still tell my crew mates that I'm frozen and I can ask them to stay with me so that I don't get killed by a patrol or what not.
Cons: I don't like talking if the person on the other side isnt wereing headphones cause I hate the eco and I hate hearing my own voice on the other side. I know I don't really sound like that because its being recorded and repeated and what not but it makes me self consous. So if they don't have head phones on sometimes I'll ask if they can put some on or I just tell them that I the eco bothers me and I don't really talk much.
I use: a webcam with a mic built in to it. which is great most of the time, unless my rents want to watch tv. (the computer is in there room right next to the computer) so my webcam picks up what ever is on the tv. which actually can lead for a very funny confversation.

Yeah I use a mic SOMETIMES....it depends how many other people have it or whatever, but yeah the fact that it beats lag is pretty awesome as well XD I use the built in camera in my imac and my amazing seinheiser wireless headphones XD I like talking to people from different countries and finding the differences XD I live in the UK so... razz

I only talk with people I know well.
I'm French and Canadian, so I've got an accent that likes to make surprise appearances..

Lol I know the feeling Nymph, having that "very British posh accent" gets a lot of err...interesting? comments sad I've been told I talk wrong many times....

I've never crew'd with anyone with an accent. I mean, no one that was supper differnt. And even if i did i dont think it would bother me much. I live in cali, and we get a little bit of everything. (as far as people go)
Anyone ever been in a crew were like everyone has mic's?

i love talking on the mic it the best thing ever. Whenever i SS i like using the mic unless they don't then i type but most of my friends have a mic i usually talk to them instead

As far as VOIP, I've had several all VOIP crews, and things run fantastically. Not everyone talks, but as long as everyone is listening it makes everything a breeze.
Actually, its great for lag time if you're with a crew you know well. I remember one Sunday a friend of mine and I put on a concert of Disney songs in duet for our crew while the lag persisted. Good fun.

I mostly just stick to skype. Its so much less laggy and I find its better to hear people with. I sometimes use my webcam. It depends on what day. My cam is a little pmsey xD

My cam is a little pmsey xD lol this happen to Akari Yuuto 2 days ago she left our crew and everything but she was still able to hear us and was able to talk to us as well
