I mean, I kind of know where my tank stands. It's in the mid-range: not overly high trigger but it's not extremely minimalistic either. I'm going for a Fiddler's Green theme (which is basically heaven for dead sailors. Google it if necessary). My old fishes were had cute cuddley names but the new ones are slowly getting whiskey brand names.
I have a couple mini-monsters in my inventory to do a trial run once a fish dies. But overall, they look completely different from the atmosphere I'm hoping to achieve in my aquarium. Or do you guys know of any mini-monsters that will look nice?
Watermeats are a big no-no for me even though they're incredibly cute and high-triggering. Even one would be way too clunky for what I'm going for. I'm not trying to criticise certain types of fish or anything. I just want something that fits in my particular aquarium.
Ideally, a high-trigger AND good-looking aquarium is what I'm going for. Suggestions, please?

I've been pretty partial to the dolphin... mermaids would really fit the theme... possibly spouts or lorelei... maybe the dolls...

The lorelei look pretty good. I'll add that on my wishlist for now and save up. I'm also working on getting a couple more Lilas since they're relatively cheaper. What are the dolls?
Thanks for the suggestions!
