Mark Auditore came from an all itallian family in Brooklyn, New York for the first sixteen years of his life. The young man worked for his uncle Giovonni Salvatore, doing questionable deliveries and errands. Unfortunately when the tracker marked the young man at school his friends mocked him and harrased him. His uncle however seen this as a personal offence and said since he had raised the young man as a son that he would be forbiden to enroll at the house of night. Knowing that would mean a slow and particularly painful death Geovonni had sent some of his goons to kill his nephew and make it look like a mugging gone bad. Though he would never admit it, the scars on his face that make him look like he is sporting a sick and twisted grin.
While in the New York branch of the house of night, some of the students laughed at his scars and provoked him into a fight which had gotten him transfered from house of night, to house of night. The young man has a very bad temper that he has spent many months mastering and putting it to a good use. Now the young fledgling is a nationally ranked fencer and his affinites make him a very unique warrior.

After being transfered from the house of night in New york, he was transfered across the pond to London where he had kept perfecting his fencing skills, though his temper and lack of respect for elders caused him to be tranfered from London to Rome.
Where through the constant annoyance between full fledged vampyres and the rules; He gave up most of his classes that required sitting still, taking a lot of physical classes that had allowed him to channel his anger into something constructive. After about four years the violent teenager was a distant memory.
Mark has recently become much quieter, and calm person thanks to his previous mentor, a warrior named Will.
Will encouraged the young fledgling to put his anger and hate from his past to a better purpose; seeing how the boys internal torment for his past misdoings and problems was wreaking on his soul the warrior tought him how to use his blade to protect rather than to kill......untill Will was killed.
Mark was competeing in the vampyre's version of the olymics, the young fledgling was in fact the only fledgling in the fencing tournament. Mark and his teacher both competed untill they were facing each other in semi-finals, the two friends fought feircely against one an other, untill the young mans affinity for fire decided to surface the two cometitors were evenly matched. With fire growing out of control around him Mark panicked and didn't see his mentor make a foolish leap out of the way of the flames into the young mans blade peircing his heart. Once mark realized what happened to his friend he dropped his blade and ran out of the competition and tried to hide from the guilt, he blamed himself for the death of a good friend and still does to this day.

A week passed before mark returned to the house of night, barely alive; the young man didn't speak to anyone he just sat there like a zombie, when people approached them he responded with violence. His teachers talked about transfering him but he had been sent to almost every house of night so far and had a reputation that proceded him most places.

Since he transfered to the most recent house of night, the young man has made a few friends, Lily, and Finn. He isnt as violent as he was having put his former mentors death behind him he has tried to move with his life and be happier. The young man recently returned from an international fencing competition, finishing in third. He has also gained an intense dislike for one of his teachers, constantine dracul, whom seemes to think that Mark is a lazy slacker.
