It was a crisp winter morning, a thin layer of snow and frost lay on the ground, the grass was stuck upright and hard. As the dark mare walked across the cold ground, her steps made a crunching sound. Her breathe appearing in front of her and her winter coat grown thick and lush. Her head was up in the air proud as ever, even though no one was around to bare witness to it, she still remained the proud strong mare she always had been. Ever since foal hood. A swirling wind blew past lifting some of the snow off of the ground looking like a small cloud of sparkling dust. From the horizon came a burst of colour, from a bright orange to a deep purple. The few stray beams of sunlight made the skull of her hide shine. The colorful hairs reflecting and twinkling. Her dark crimson eyes scanned the area to her home, as always it was dead and lifeless. She would always a mare that would prefer her own company to those of others, after so many months loneliness did not seem to effect her anymore. Sure sometimes she wondered off to see Forte her friend who had been there for quite some time now. Then sometimes 'he' came around to see her however she did not has a drive to seek the attention of others. Social ties seemed pointless. Especially when she had gotten so used to doing everything herself pretty much all her life. Today however, unexpectedly her peace would be shattered by a familiar face. One that had not been here for a while.
