Darn tootin! I am actually heading up a serious "Silent Hill-esque" topic in one of my guilds. Sadly, my guild is practically dead and only one other person posts with me. Can't get any new members either since the guy that started it has mysteriously dissapeared. xp
I was also involved in a RE themed one...took place on an Island off the coastof New England somewhere...anyway, I really enjoyed that one too, but it died. I am still mourning that one. It had so much promise...

Perhaps a Silent Hill RP to commemorate the success of the movie. I dunno about the box office, but the actualy movie itself. Success of how awesome it turned out.

...so are we gonna start an RP, or are we just gonna talk about it? If the concern is over the sheer number of sub-standard survival horror RPthreads on Gaia, maybe we should start an intro thread for submission of RP ideas and then we vote and the winner starts it off.
My thought is that it should be fairly well organized with rules, character submissions subject to approval and possibly hosted by a qm-type person just to keep the story moving instead of running everywhere at once.
What do you guys think?
As for a Silent Hill theme, I'd be all for it...other than the almost exhaustive backstories required on each character just to make it relevant. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Silent Hill do different things to different people(SH2 as an example) based on their fears, personal struggles with guilt and past encounters with the town? It would be a real project if it was done correctly.
EDIT: This doesn't mean that I wouldn't want to try. Sounds fun. twisted
