All right. I'll fix this up later, but this is the gist of the new Battle system.
A regular attack requires 1 100-sided die. I know, unoriginal
Abilities - Abilities are spells and special attacks that require something different other than the traditional 100-sided dice or something that the character can do automatically.
Examples - (there are MANY more abilities, these are just a few) Abilities and Spells are purchased with either Gold or Skill Points Attack ability: Firestorm - Targets all enemies. Roll 5 20-sided dice to determine damage. If your total is 100, all enemies are slain. (there are exceptions)
Sneak Attack - Roll 5 10-sided dice. You will deal damage equal to your roll regardless of your enemy's number. However, if your roll is a prime number, your attack misses and you take full damage. (A list of prime numbers under 100 will be provided)
Defense Abilities:
Rock wall - Block one of the enemies attacks. You can only do this twice per a battle and you cannot attack when using it.
Innate Abilities: (always active)
Tenacity- If the enemy rolls a 100, keep 1 Health instead of falling.
Soul Steal - Heal yourself the amount of damage you deal when you attack an enemy. Does not work against undead-type enemies.
Attack and Defense
Attack is added to the damage you deal, AFTER the rolls are calculated.
Defense is subtracted from the damage you recieve.
Note: Pay attention to what effect some spells and abilities have. Some do subtract from attack and defense and you can have negative stats.
Skill points, health and leveling.
When you create a character for this you start with 1000, gold, 15 skill points, 250 Health, 0 defense, 0 attack and one of three starter abilities.
Starter abilities (You get your choice of one)
First Aid - Roll 1 100-sided dice. Heal half the roll (if your roll is higher than the enemy's)
Critical Strike (innate) - If you roll a prime number (there will be a list), you deal double the damage.
Burn - Roll 3 20-sided dice. The result deals damage to all enemies, regardless of their attack. Can only be used once per battle.
Using Skill Points
You gain skill points every time you level up.
Skill points can be used to raise attack, defense, health, and to learn new abilities.
Note: 1 skill point raised Health by 10 points.
Leveling up: You level up every 100 experience points. Every time you level up, you gain 10 skill points.

How much health would a person have? The system itself looks rather intriguing. I am just wondering how multiple dice rolls will work.

People start with 250 health, however, there will be ways to increase that.
I'm going to put a sample fight here when I am finished, so it's easier to understand.

This sounds like a text RPG. I like the sound of that.

That was the intention. 3nodding I had a text RPG guild that did fairly well in the past, but then the three most active members quit.
