Mia looked somberly at the glass case with its glowing edges.
"Here is where all answers can be answered," she pointed to the case as she spoke,"Of course no one can read it and its pages are nearly all blank for some reason."
Mia shruged her slender, small shoulders. "But what would you like to know? These... Soulkards are steeped in mystery that we don't know. I've researched extensively but... there is hardly anything. I'll do my best."

Cordelia's heart was beating. This was so much different than what she had expected the interior to be. She looked around and immediately felt uneasyness build up in her, just from looking at the door leading on to only god knew where.
Refocusing on Mia as she talked Cordelia nodded. On the walk here, she had almost forgotten why she was here. "Right... so.. you see... this might sound really strange but... I think something is possessing my card or something" she said slightly embarrassed. She wasn't really sure about it, but after the accident in the living room, she just wanted to make sure.
"You see... I'm a natural swimmer... it comes with the blood, but lately, ever since I recieved this card, actually, my times have been improving and... uhm... how shall I put this" she stood there, pondering for a little while before she continued "earlier today, as I had just finished my morning practice, I was walking through my living room and then... it was as if the card was calling for me. Telling me to come. So... I guess I came... because the next thing I remember is almost touching it, and seeing a few drops of water hit the surface of the card... and then" she held a break as if to think of how to formulate the next thing she was about to say "I saw things... things I had never seen before... beautiful things... very! Maybe it was memories? I don't really know for sure..." she had a distant look in her eyes. She shook her head as if to clear her vision and finished off her little rant "and then I fell backwards... drained of energy. Maybe it was just because I forgot to eat before I swam but..." she absentmindly touched the back of her head and made a grimace "...well... it definately hurt" she said, her face still slightly distorted in pain.

Mia was unexpecting as Cordelia was. She bowed her head in deep thought. It took so long that one could have already started to shift uncomfortably. Finally as if drawing all the tensions she looked up and spoke with a steady voice, although each particle of herself quavered with interest.
"It must be old, memories that the Soulkard harbored. You see that is not, just a simple card. It's more. Don't worry about the card seemingly to be possesed. Somethings will actually start to make sense after a while. In essence, just..." she giggled a little, one to release the shaking and the other to laugh at her own pun," go with the flow."
Then on impulse she reached out her tiny hand and patted Cordelia's shoulder, albeit a little awkwardly.

Not just a simple card? Already billions of questions were building up inside Cordelia's head. Then what was it? Where did it come from? Could it be dangerous to her? And even if it would provide danger, would she be willing to give it up? She already felt that it was such a large part of her, that she barely wanted to leave it behind when she was going into the garden.
The fact that Mia said things would start to make sense after some time comforted her slightly, but she still hadn't had her curiosity and anxiety saitisfied.
She smiled at Mia's kind gesture, even though it wasn't much, the pat on her shoulder comforted her quite a bit. Grinning slightly she asked the question she knew would determine whether she would have her questions answered now, or if she would have to bite the sour apple and wait for the answer to come by themselves "So... will you answer any of my questions at all, or are you going to leave me un-prepared for what will come?" She wasn't trying to be unpleasant, although it might sound like it to some people, and her straigthforwardness sometimes offended people. Smiling a humored smile after the sentence to make sure that Mia realized this as well, she waited for an answer.

Mia burst out laughing, almost inappropriately. After that few minutes long attack, she recovered splendidly.
"Well I am ansering this, Yes I won't leave you in the dark as you wish. It just so happens that I have come to understanding that after the Soulkard... seems to get to know you or it just might sit there biding its time, it will manifest in an advent of flurry!" She tapped her foot seemingly to think about it and then smiled in a small smile.
"Is there anything else? You might as well as give it all up in one go," she sounded peculuarly cheery, however, talking about the strange Soulkards were her favorite subject.

Cordelia was so surprised when Mia started laughing that as she stopped laughing and told her to just shoot, she was completely blank. "Uhh... uhmm... questions... yes... questions" why was it that she always reacted like this?
"Uh... yeah... maybe this will get me started: You said that they were more than JUST cards... what did you mean by that?" as soon as the first question left her mouth, she felt a few more forming on her head, ready to be asked. "...Manifest in an advent of flurry? What did you mean by that... and... is it possible that the card had anything to do with my swimming improving?"

Mia cocked her head over wiht a puzzled look that said 'well I explained it already!' However to actually have grasped that would have had to have read her mind.
"Well," she began,"It's a Soulkard! It's an ancient being that was created and when their creator mysteriously dissapeared... some how... They... became cards." She drifted a little with her eyes giving another of her blank looks.
"And that's all I know about them really! We don't know what will happen really!"

As Mia cocked her head, Cordelia cocked hers too. It was an old habit she had gotten from god-knew-where. She had the feeling that Mia was thinking her to be quite dense at the moment, but she just really didn't get it.
Cocking her eyebrow as the word "Soulkard" was brought up again, she waited for a further explanation. Her blue eyes focused 100% on Mia, the kind of stare that usually scared people. Standing like that for a little while, she finally nodded. She understood. To a certain degree, although she was quite annoyed that they didn't know much more. She was a curious person by nature, and she wanted to KNOW!
"I think I understand" she said deep in thoughts. Holding a momentarily pause she fixed her eyes on Mia again "But why me? Why did the... Soulkard?" upon recieving an affirmative nod she continued "right, Why did this Soulkard chose ME? Why not some other person?"

Mia smiled a knowing smile as she nodded. Cordelia was getting it right! "And why did the Soulkard come into existance?" she asked in rhetoric. But for all they knew, it was a mystery. Just like the choosing, and then again maybe it was all her fault for summoning them from the darkness to be leashed upon the world again. Who would... really know? Only time would tell.
She, however replied with this,"It chose you probably because it wanted to. When the advent comes... you can ask yourself." She nodded sagely as she could muster.

Taking the nod as a good sign, Cordelia smiled. She was, however, slightly dissapointed with the first part of the reply. This wasn't a way to get her curiosity killed! However, upon hearing that she would be able to actually comunicate with it Cordelia looked at Mia in surprise "I can... talk to it?" she suddenly got another idea "If it talked to it now, would it be able to understand me?"

Oh... jumping to conclusions. That wasn't good. Mia grimanced a little.
"Well, the Soulkard... I think can not understand you exactly by words... yet..." She trailed off and searched for the words around her. Then she took a deep breath.
"What we do know is they can understand strong feelings. We don't know if they DO understand our words. And more than likely they won't answer in ways that we understand ourselves." It was all very up to do, to figure out things... Mia thought idly, perhaps she would put it on her next to do list at some point. Make sure they really knew what Soulkards can and can't do.

Not noticing Mia's grimace, Cordelia nodded absently. Hmm... that really decreased the the chances of finding out more. She would just have to wait and see what would happen, wouldn't she... although it was a thing she despised quite a bit. Waiting. Even the word made her cranky... realizing that her mind was talking her unwanted places, she focused back on the world around her once again.
"I think I know what I need to know for now, then" she said and smiled slightly. She understood that her questions could be a burden sometimes, but rather stupid for a minute, than stupid forever... right?

"Well, are you sure thats everything you wish to know? I do know that, we don't know much, but...it still doesn't hurt to ask! If anything that can be the next subject I can research and you can wait for the answers!" She smiled serenely as she settled by the boxed in book.

Cordelia looked thoughtful for a moment. All the questions had magically disapeared from her mind. Before they had been whizzing about like maniacs, but now that she actually had the chance to ask them they were gone... just... gone.
Smiling apologizingly she said with a slight blush "I think my questions just decided to go poof on me..." smiling a more sincere smile she continued "but I think I know what I need to know for now anyway... my main questions were answered"
looking thoughtful again, as if going through a mental checklist, she finally finish "Yeah... that should be i... oh... wait... Here's one you should be able to answer... what IS this whole place?" she said as she looked around.
