I really enjoyed Peter Jacksons version of King Kong. Jack Black was hilarious and they did a great job at portraying Kong.
But the latest Godzilla (final wars) could step on Kong.

The movie was awesome. But Godzilla would trash that monkey in 5 seconds flat.

He would. I have to give the big G that. What would you guys think if they re-made the most popular Godzilla film of all time? Godzilla vs. King Kong? With a story-line that didn't suck, and characters you could really care about?

Naw naw naw.... I'm talking original Japanese Godzilla, and a somewhat updated King Kong from Jackson's. I've got a stroyline, and have been working on it for about three or four years now. I think I've got something here, but I want to know if Godzilla fans out there would actually be interested in seeing a re-match between natures most powerful forces.

King Kong would have to be pretty beefed-up to be a match for the Japanese Godzilla, don'tcha think?

Peter Jacksons King Kong vs. Zilla would be awsome...fully matured or not, though in my opinion, it may just semlike King Kong fighting the V-Rexs again lol

Yeah, but if they do Kong realistically, like in Jackson's, he would die from like one or two blasts from Japan's Godzilla. xp

Ahh, well well well!! What if... say, Kong wasn't the last of his species? Evidence from Skull Island indicates that Kong, along with the rest of his kind, came from somwhere else -- Mainland Asia. So there's the possibility that they still could be out there somewhere...
Still not conviced?
When Skull Island was found in Jackson's Kong movie, it was in shambles. Having less than a few more years above the surface of the South Pacific ocean, explorers were more or less concerned about scientific studies ON the island -- than actually searching for any other reminants of Kongs species.
With that -- to an imaginative mind, leaves open that there could possibly be another type of "Skull Island" out there...
But again, there's another difference.
Skull Island with Kong on it was found in 1933... and the dinosaurs, and Kong too, were well over the size of what the should be. Think about it now... 2006? That's another 73 years of evolution on to this mystery island.
Another 73 years of smouldering volcanic island, growing and shrinking.
Another 73 years of this mystery island's animals having to fight even bigger battles for survival.
And growing.
Eventually to meet the same fate of the original "Skull Island"...
Still not convinced...?
No doubt Kong would still be smaller than Godzilla, but he would be more than a match for the Big G. Simply because...
Anyone remember that when he fought Godzilla in 1962 that he was powered up by electricity? I honestly don't know how that works, but for some odd reason or another (probably to make him a match for the Big-G) Kong was given that power.
I think a modern movie with a powerful script could be a great movie.
Oh, and also the fact that King Kong vs. Godzilla recieved the most publicity and popular movie among the fans to date (to date as in like the mid 1990's when the servey was taken -- as well as ticket sales when KK vs. Big-G first came out in theaters)

Anyone have any ideas as to why Kong had electrical powers when he faught Godzilla? You know, a logical reason, other thn the fact that without them he would've gotten his a** kicked... xd
