Q. Just what is a character?
A. If you need this answered I suggest you consult the internet for advice on basic human living because you aren't from this world.
Q. Do I need to make a specific race?
A. Yes. We use the races found in Cyrodill: Altmer, Argonian, Bosmer, Breton, Dunmer, Imperial, Khajiit, Nord, Orc, and Redguard. If you need more information on the races, you can find it here.
Q. Do I need to make a specific class?
A. No. You might end up prefering mage to physical warrior or vice versa depending on your preferences, but technically your character can be anything you want them to be.
Q. Do I need to make a specific gender?
A. Possibly. It mostly depends on your personal preference, but gender does change some racial effects. No, we were not be sexist or biased. They are based on Bethesda's race charts. Take it up with them if you have a problem with that.
Q. Do I buy equipment?
A. Yes. When you go through the character creation process you will roll a number between 10 and 50. This determines your starting GP. Then you go shopping for your starter equipment here.
Q. I was looking through weapons and noticed Books?
A. Books are weapons for mages. Not only do they provide the spells needed in battle, they provide a tiny blunt attack, which is hilarious. Some books are heavier than others though ...
Q. So ... books?
A. What about them?
Q. Do I need to have them equipped to use the spell?
A. Yes, if the spell level is higher than 1. The books grant the mage the ability to use the spell at whatever level the book states.
Q. How do I know the spell damage?
A. We calculate that for you, but if you want to know you can find more information on the Spell/Skill table located here.
Q. How do I know my attack and defense in general?
A. You don't need to. We provide you with the rolls. They're on your character's sheet.
