Sweet Jesus, Tovas!
Rolling for Syrie.

That optimism earned the alcohol-bent Dunmar some reward this day, as no sooner than he stepped foot inside the cave than it spit out its first reward.

If Tovas was quick enough (not to mention sober enough) to take a glance around or catch the sound of something other than gravel underneath his feet, he would find tiny gems littering the ground beneath. True, it wouldn't be very worthwhile to pick all of them up, as they were as plenty as seashells near the ocean, but a total combined scoop of six red gems could potentially fetch around 10 GP.

Congratulations! No roll is needed here. Take what loot you want and make your next event roll!

Though he would have been much happier inebriated, with his recent lack of funds the Dunmer was woefully sober -- so when his thin footwear started crunching over the cave's small bounty of gems, he noticed.

"Ow! What the hell--?" Tovas lifted his foot and pulled one small gem from the sole of his shoe and peered at it thoughtfully before grinning to himself like an idiot. If he picked up all of the gems he could definitely buy booze for a while. Granted, there were a lot of gems and he had to weigh the time he'd need to spend picking up the little gems against the potential for greater gains further in the small cave.

Didn't take him too long before deciding on just a few of the gems that glittered like blood drops in his big hand. Six little gems that went into a pocket as he moved further on and further in.

Battle Time for Tovas!
Rolling for Syrie.
Tovas' 2nd Turn!

Tovas has encountered a group of blood-sucking bats!

Perhaps if Tovas had his mind on where he was instead of what he wasn't, he would have thought a little better of making any vocal musings, as this was a cave with possible dangerous beasts lurking about in its inky shadows; not the middle of an inn he'd burnt to the ground the night before.

It started out faint, growing steadily louder, until the screechy cries what sounded like fingernails down an enormous chalkboard echoed off every surface and straight through Tovas' bones, vibrating his very core.

Then they were upon him ... four tiny bloodsucking bats that attached themselves to his shirtless chest and shoulders, their tiny fangs prepared to gather each their feast of the day ...

Roll your choice of battle skill before writing any post. If you get higher than me, you win, and may check the monster for loot (if you dare) during your next event roll. If you get lower, you lose 1HP (and the battle). Either way, make your next event roll.

(blade baby, blade)

Perhaps. But he hadn't and he'd been sloppy and careless and would pay the price. Probably. When the keening cries became tiny bloodsucking beasts that attached to his body, Tovas reacted as his battle-trained body was supposed to: he drew his sword.

No, he wouldn't take a stab at himself to remove the bats, instead he would rip the creatures from his skin and then slice them to bitty bat bits. The Dunmer made short work of the four bats and then took a moment to wipe his blade clean on his already filthy pants before sheathing the sword so he could dig through the remains for anything that might be worth salvaging.

Loot was loot and loot meant booze after all.

After scavenging the bat carcasses (and being slightly sad that he couldn't salvage any of the meat since they were so godrotting tiny), Tovas look a glance around to make sure nothing else was coming for him and then proceeded again (this time with a bit more care and caution).

Being set upon by monsters didn't bother him, but it did make him a little more wary than before. No point in dying just for a pint or three!

Tovas' perseverance would pay off that day; the cave might not have been big, but what it was was rewarding.

It was something the Dunmer was about to find out for himself, as not long after the skirmish that left four bat carcasses on the ground did he come across the back of the small enclosure.

Well, actually, more like the back of the small enclosure came across him.

If Tovas wasn't dazed after smacking his head against the suddenly low ceiling, he could very easily see the 10 GP spilling out of the small silk gold-laced pouch; it itself was probably worth 15 GP.

He could very easily get himself a pint off that.

Congratulations! You have reached the end of the dungeon! You may respond to this event in whatever way you see fit, but after your next post your thread will be moved to "Past Dungeon Explorations" and your lewt will be added to your inventory.

Smacking into the back wall of the cave brought a swift, low stream of swearing that only fell off when he realized what was happening. A pouch with gold....that was worth a good bit too!

Forgetting his ire at having a new bump on his head, the Dunmer scooped up his loot and grinned to himself; oh yes, that would get him some good food and drink today!

In a mood far better than he had started with, Tovas left the small cave. BEER WAS CALLING!!
