Just wondering! :} How often do you read the Word of God? :}

I try to read 2-ish verses a day, but usually am only successful about... 50%-75% of the time. :/

How about yourself?

Pretty much everyday. The amount changes depending on how much I feel compelled to read. Sometimes I read through a book or two, usually it's just a few chapters though, if that.

I've never been very good at following a set schedule so I don't have a certain amount that I try to get done. It doesn't seem right to turn reading the bible into a daily chore.

Ah, cool beans! :} And unfortunatley with me, it IS a chore! I know it shouldn't be, but it is. I have no compelling to read it, aside from the knowledge that it is, in fact, the Word of God. That, in and of itself, should be compelling enough, no? But for whatever reason, my soul is not roused that the Supreme is calling me... It's very frustrating! :/

I think we've all been there and go back there occasionally. I'd suggest sticking to the smaller books (less intimidating, or maybe the wisdom books like ecclesiastes for example, it speaks more to human nature.) I always find them easier to read but maybe that's just me.

Ah, haha, it's not so much the tediuosness of the books as it is when I get to the Bible my eyes glaze over, usually,making me take 20-ish minutes to comprehend 2 verses. >.<; I guess it's just a weakness-ish of me. And ah, I've read much of the Bible. Including Isaiah. Which was incredibly... long... GAH!

@Shadow: Haha, we do, don't we!? Great minds think alike! ;}

I read on a regular basis on Sunday. Tue, Wed, Thurs when I attend church. Then on the days questions might arise from family and friends who need answers concerning personal problems. Then when I need answers for my own personal situations. Like when I read something in a guild by Ferrett658 smile It's a good guide for a lot of situations.

One must read the bible everyday. I don't read it everyday, and I know I must because I need it. God gives you peace when we read His Word. It's something very beautiful. We need to pray to the LORD to give us hunger and thirst for His Word everyday. Amen ^_^

I quite like reading the Bible. I'm not a Christian by any stretch of the imagination, but the Bible's nice. I tend to skip over the rules and prohibitions; I prefer the stories. And the psalms. Psalms are nice. And I've always rather liked Daniel. Oh, and the Song of Songs. "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine." BEST VERSE EVER! rofl

I'm currently writing a story in which there's a character who speaks only in Bible verses, so I've been reading up on it a lot more lately. Proverbs, Lamentations and Psalms are very useful.
