The following helpful hints are if you have a sent mail asking for your username and password, and how to tell if this is Gaia sending this and if it's a hacker trying to get into your account. First, you look to see if the sender has an avatar. If they do, they are ovbiously a hacker if they have an ordinary avatar. But, if they have a avatar like the people on gaia announcements, then they probably aren't a hacker. BUt remember, gaia won't usually send you a not saying that gaia needs your password and username. If they threaten you that they will turn off your account, and still have the red flags of a hacker, then forget about it and move on. They can't shut down your account unless they are the admin. If you can go to their profile, their a hacker. If it says that their profile isn't able to show you because you aren't on their friendslist or something, it's ovbious. HACKER!!!
